If you want nothing but headaches, go ahead and apply.  Whether admin or driver, it doesn't matter. 

Most the dispatchers are clueless and can't handle ANY criticism. They have next to no knowledge of how the industry works, or where most places are. If you like to plan ahead, DON'T, you will stress them out.

The 1, and only one, positive I will give to the company is their pay structure. BUT, your pay goes get direct deposited, but in the afternoon of payday. I have seen it as late as 10pm.

Here is my story.
I started there as a company driver back in 2016, they were a small company that cared and respected their employees.  But as they grew the caring and respect totally disappeared ( Office staff and drivers). You were now " just a number" as they say. 

I left the road after 3 years and went into the office in operations.  My mistake was not getting everything in writing ( job description and duties). They would change your job description and duties as they seen fit and tell you "it's all part of the position". Double the workload for the same pay. They ( upper management) had no issues taking advantage of their staff. People who have been with them helping to grow the company for years. I could no longer take it any longer and left.

Well... that lasted a year and I went back into the office. I made sure I got a lot of the position requirements in writing.  Spent another 2 years in the office. Seeing more new employees come and go. Most the veteran staff have left by then. 
Had made plans to move to Calgary and start a new position with them I  the  Calgary office. This was spoken about for a few months. As soon as I started looking at houses in Calgary, they pulled the plug on the new position.

I gave notice and moved outta province anyways. 6 months down the road I foolishly went back to them, but this time on the road as a company driver again. Things were going great as I did my own thing and they kept me busy. But then, they were having "issues" getting me home for my reset. As soon as i spoke out about it, the  "office politics" started and that was it. I gave my notice and they said fine drop the truck and trailer in Calgary. They had no problems letting me go. Basically pushed me out. Leaving me stranded in Calgary. 

Dont let the under powered new shiny trucks fool you. They are poorly maintained by their mobile mechanic who works out of the Kelowna yard. 

DON'T be like me and think things will change and get better. The only thing that changed is they have NO respect for any of their employees. Admin or driver. And if you have an opinion or statement, keep it to yourself as they have no issues letting you go. "Drivers and office staff are a dime a dozen" 

What is the best part of working at the company?
While I worked remotely in another province from the main office, I always found them to be supportive of any problems and grateful of any suggestions.   The managament staff we bright cheerful  real people who I enjoyed interatcting with when it was required.   

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Well it wasn't stressful due to the company but more stressful due to one of their clients who couldn't make a proper and reasonable decision about their contract with them but Pro-Ex stayed proffesional and courteous throughout the process

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Well again I worked remotely but anyone I interacted with were good kind people

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Just like every other day, got up went to work, did my job are required and sometimes over and above (my choice) 
  No suprises or drama

If you love being micro managed this job is for you. Supervisor is always watching you work, picking apart every mistake or deviation and then displays obvious frustration at your progress.

The pay is low and not worth your time. Don't bother giving notice when you've had enough as they wont honor or appreciate it.
High turn over for this position is your first warning.

Company Culture - none
Managers and employee make up two completely separate groups that rarely interact. When they do, it's a one-way communication in which the manager tells the underlying what to do. Toxic. Don't bother with morning greetings as it appears to cause pain for supervisor to respond. Grunt much?

If you love the smell of dogs all day long and little bugs flying around this is the job for you. You are constantly hovered over and every little mistake is pointed out to you. As for the owners getting to know you, well that won't happen. The billing clerk manager expects a lot from you and if you can't pick this up quickly you will regret it. The rude comments that will come your way you will find offensive very quickly. If one person is in a bad mood, then the whole office will be that way. The in office ambiance is really horrible. Everyone there is related and has no time for outsiders. You are there to work only!

There the reason nobody wants to drive anymore! Short runs makes no money. Was only $1 a mile when I worked for them, $1 a mile was paid 20 years ago. They have new equipment and a new office, that’s why they don’t pay good. They forget to pay for layovers because they have no load for you to get back and they say it was missed so it will be on your next months check, even though everything is on electronic logs. Hopefully you won’t catch there mistakes and they won’t pay. Bad company 

This was honestly the worst job I've probably ever had. There was little to NO support from office staff. Unfortunately dispatch doesn't know how to dispatch either. The trucks are near new, however, far underpowered, and they preach about fuel economy however make it nearly impossible to actually achieve. Good job for someone just needing experience but I couldn't imagine working here long-term with how they treat drivers.

HR is difficult to get along with. They are a firing company. From the time I started work until about a week later there was four or five terminations. That was the average per month and it was stressful and difficult to work under the assumption that my job was on the line every day. Safety was not a factor with this company regardless of weather conditions or road conditions the mandate was get the job done no matter what.

Been with Pro-Ex operations team for a few years now. At first it was a bit of a negative place to work but the team has really been working on developing a more relaxed and enjoyable culture. Transport can be stressful at times so the team does their best to try and keep things light. If anyone is looking to be challenged and be part of a growing company, I do recommend giving them a try. 

Dream job alert! Love being overworked, underpaid & unappreciated? Enjoy micromanagement, zero humanity, and rules like ‘shoelace suspensions’? Perfect! Watch your mental health nosedive, question all your life choices, and bring home stress your family will adore. But don’t worry—you’ll still get a paycheck… such as it is.

Nice equipment but money always short almost every pay day… once i find the mistake they corrected but had to wait two more weeks to receive that missed pay in some instances up to $400 … I moved on now, just tired of being an accountant when I was supposed to be a truck driver! The company is a toilet and think hard before applying
