Large scaled structural fabrication to small scale detailing in structural stairways and railings

The afternoon shift is the best and the quietest in the sense that you can do your work without oversight that is not needed because only well experienced men are allowed on the 2nd shift. But you have to be prepared to work to 3AM rather frequently because if you are not you know the layoff is soon.

Overall daily activities include the following;

Maintaining fabrication schedule
Customer Liaision
Providing input into fabrication practices
Quoting & estimating
Material Procuring
Oversee Detail drawings for fabrication
Onsite visits with customers & potential new customers

Each day brings a new challenge in maintaining customers request for progressive deliveries & redesigns on current orders.

I loved the job, guys are great to work with. A lot of different experiences great for your bucket lists but once you start here, I think you would want to stay here. I started too late in my working career. Should have started earlier. Really loved the job and the fellows you worked with, great atmosphere. A lot of fun if you want to work and work hard. I really enjoyed it. 

Worked here in a safety role, on multiple occasions I address a toxic employee with senior management. Was told "Thats just how he is". Safety is just a word here, they don't care about their workers. Some members of management pride themselves on how rude and condescending they are,  pay was OK  but not worth my dignity

Laid a bunch of us off due to shortage of work during the coronavirus crisis

It is a very good place to work when we have work. Management is very disorganized and we are lucky to get a 40 hour week because of shortages of steel, welding supplies and having machinery that works.

I don't think that it is right that a company has the right to fire you for no reason, other than you "aren't a good fit" after years of service.  No opportunity for job training, no performance evaluations to let you know how you are doing, just have a nice life.

Poor management, they don't care about you and your worth at all.. so many people were at my position before, and all of them left due to poor management . Vacation is 2 weeks, and you can't take all at once

It was a good summer job as a student in university. The job itself was simple it was assembling electrical panels. 

The workplace culture was fine nothing out of the ordinary for a job like this.

A lot of different kinds of machinery to work on. Would be very good repair facility for apprentice to work at in order to gain all aspects of equipment repair.
