Professional Excavators

Safety culture is disappointing. Managers and supervisors do not set safety examples. Don’t care about work life balance so expect working long hours without overtime compensation. Lots of people leaving or being let go due to bad management. Expect to be scolded by a few managers at a time should you make a mistake but do not expect recognition for work well done. Use it as a bridge to jump to a better company as they get to work with diverse clients. By the way their client management is horrible and relies in the long standing relationship of the owner with the clients.

I’ve never experienced such poorly  managed business. Never know what you’re doing till night before (7-9pm). Constantly shifted around for site to site daily. Hired to bulk earth have done everything but, expect to be a labourer amongst many other mundane tasks. Most of the equipment is clapped out. Couple of the supervisors are great to work with others are disorganized and honestly don’t understand how they keep their jobs. Only been there couple months and the turnover is unreal,  usual reward the slacks and the good ones get the shaft.  Best advice is to run in ANY direction away from this company. 

Well they were very helpful in getting me set up and fit in. I was never a Forman till then s9 they really gave me the extra knowledge I craved and support I needed. There AWESOME when it comes to learning there patients are the best qualities to me I needed quite alot of help on the computer side but they worked with me after hours and got me through it no problem now I'm a wizard on the Microsoft system.

PE has a great group of employees from management all the way to the field workers. The company is growing in size and always a steady work flow. Lots of opportunities for advancement and a great place to learn new skills as well. Upper management is personable and great at acknowledging good employees. They Pay is good and opportunity for extra hours

I started in June and all the management have been really helpful and friendly to help me fit in to a supervisor roll, seems like a lot of room to move up as most of the employees i have talk to here have worked here for several years, all the guys in the field are a pleasure to work with .
Can't wait to see what the future holds for me and the company as it grows 


I started with PE in 2015 working for their paving division. All the foremans I worked for were great, and I learned a lot from them. Superintendents are hit and miss. All the estimators are fresh out of college and constantly under bid jobs that the upper management expects the crews to still make money on. 

 I enjoy working at this company the people are friendly and easy going .   The work pace is fast and the hours are long .  Management is always willing to help when they can with any situation that you have .  Wages are competitive and equipment well-maintained.  Before Covid they had great events and  they continuously give  their employees  great gifts! 

management was amazing with helping me get my safety education in my quest to better myself. my co-workers were my family,so easy to work with.hardest part of my job was being away from my children for 12-14 hours a day but i stilled loved to get up and go every day.

I felt this was a good place to work considering I was female... The other drivers were helpful and considerate and for the amount of people that worked there, there was none of the backtalk or backstabbing which I find with the big companies like Professional. Good place -good people
