While working at Prosol you're expected to complete many tasks in any given day. These tasks include but are not limited to, product knowledge inquiries, technical trouble shooting, accounting, shipping / receiving, cleaning and organization, customer service, building maintenance, forklift operation. All together the learning curve is very steep and puts a high expectation on an individual to learn fast. 
After 3 months of staying and showing a positive attitude your probationary period will be over. After 6 months the opportunity for applying for health benefits will appear. After up to 1 year of waiting in some cases your health benefits will be approved. Yes, it may take as long as 1 year after applying to receive your company health benefits.
Dependent upon the branch, overtime is mandatory on Saturdays or on weekdays after closing time. None of the overtime will ever be paid out but you will receive time off in the pay period to make an even 40 hours a week.The overtime is often flexible. Vacation time is eligible after your first years employment.
The easiest part of the job is socializing with the customers. Most know what they want and are friendly with staff. Few exceptions occur but are tolerable.
Hardest part is handling multiple responsibilities at once while learning and doing so quickly and accurately. The Head office excluding IT has structured workflow to be easier for them and much harder for staff.
Overall a very demanding job with a set starting wage that is non negotiable. Pay raises occur once a year regardless of starting date and performance. They are NOT guaranteed.
Prosol does not care about you as an individual. They expect machine like consistency with no complaints or employee input. Any friendships you may make within the store may not be carried outside of the store. Any attitude is expected to be kept to yourself and not to be conversed outside of the store privately during your own time.

Don't do it. Listen to the reviews. If you think: "it can't be all that bad", you will be sorely mistaken.  It does not matter how hard you work. It will never be enough. Upper management is a stone wall so do not expect support from them. In my time of working there for the last few years countless people came and went. You'll get thrown into things quickly and will be expected to make it on your own with little training. 
This is a family owned business but really it's a demon den. They take advantage of employees who actually DO manage to make it long-term. 
Employees get burnt out from stress and upper management will do everything in its power to minimize staff and cut costs. It will always feel like a "skeleton crew" but that is by design. You are held to a standard and that's fair - but if you do not receive proper training or are short staffed you are screwed. 
Oh and heaven forbid if the company pet doesn't like you. 
There is a facade, don't let it fool you.

It's complex job. But the work is relatively the same

Working out of the london branch has been fun. This review reflects my positive 1.5 yrs in the delivery division.  Having joined the company with zero prior experience in the flooring industry. The leadership here, particularly the manager who hired me has been exceptional.  They created highly supportive and responsive work environment.  Any issues or challenges I have raised have been handled immediately and effectively,  provided i communicated clearly. It is clear that management values open communication and resolving problems quickly. 
I felt welcomed from all the staff ,from the day I was hired. The on boarding process was thorough, providing me with the detailed knowledge about our products and the stores we service. While the beginning can be overwhelming due to the learning curve,the culture ensures the help is always available simply by asking , witch is always crucial for new employees. 
While I feel the pay is not great, the overall value proposition is strong due to reliable hours and benefits. This is a great place to workfor those seeking supportive management, a collaborative culture and reliable  benefits even if the rolls pay scale is modest. 

Working here has been a frustrating experience because of poor management, lack of training, and pay that doesn’t match the workload. The managers don’t know how to lead or support their teams. Instead of setting employees up for success, they fail to provide proper training, then criticize when mistakes are made. New hires are often thrown into tasks without guidance, leaving them stressed, confused, and more likely to burn out. The lack of training doesn’t just hurt employees — it affects the overall workplace and customers too.

On top of this, the pay is far too low for the responsibilities we’re expected to handle. We’re constantly covering multiple roles, dealing with understaffing, and working under pressure without any fair recognition or raises. It feels like management is only interested in squeezing as much work as possible from people while giving back as little as they can.

Overall, this is not a company I would recommend. Without real improvements in leadership, training, and pay, employees will continue to feel overworked and undervalued.


Working at Prosol has been a rewarding experience. The company truly values teamwork and communication across all departments — from operations and sales to purchasing and warehouse staff. Every day brings new challenges, but management gives you the support and tools you need to succeed.

What stands out most is the people. The culture encourages collaboration, problem-solving, and taking pride in doing things right. Leadership is approachable and open to feedback, and they genuinely care about improving processes and helping employees grow.

If you’re someone who enjoys a fast-paced environment where your ideas matter and you can see the results of your effort, Prosol is a great fit. There’s a strong sense of family and respect among the team, and it’s motivating to be part of a company that continues to expand and invest in its people.

Things I liked about this job: The hours were regular Monday-Friday 7:30 - 5:00, changing only for annual inventory and customer appreciation barbeque. Some of the customers were regulars and very friendly, which was great.
Training was very on-the-job with no real opportunity to get to know product or the sales system at first. The corporate management was very erratic and rarely physically present (the company is a family business, the owner and his 7 sons run everything with all the negatives that implies). On-site supervision for the actual branch was a bit better but was often very insular.
This is a warehouse environment with everything that entails - hard to get to, no air conditioning in summer, poorly heated in the winter, full of corrosive powders. The workplace culture was not great - very 'blue-collar' in a bad sense. If you are not a straight white man you will not be comfortable here.

To succeed and grow within this company, the most important skill is the ability to communicate effectively with others. It is also essential to have a willingness to learn, be ready to take on responsibilities, and maintain an open-minded and positive attitude.
The technical and practical skills required for the job are taught by the team on site, including colleagues and managers, who are committed to supporting new employees in their development.
Having worked in different countries and for various companies, I can confidently say that Prosol is an organization that recognizes employees' efforts and provides real opportunities for professional growth. Motivated and committed individuals will find an environment that encourages learning, development, and success.

Working as a CSR here has been a good experience overall. The team is supportive and management is approachable, which makes day-to-day tasks smoother. Training was solid, and I was able to get comfortable with the systems fairly quickly.

The job can be stressful at times, especially during peak hours when call volumes or requests are high, but that’s expected in most customer service roles. Some processes could be more streamlined, and there are days where the workload feels heavy, but the support from coworkers helps balance it out.

There are opportunities to learn and grow if you take initiative, and feedback is usually delivered in a constructive way. Overall, it’s a good place to gain experience and develop skills, especially if you’re looking to build a career in customer service or operations.

In short raises are like pulling teeth although I did manage to get one before my 3 months because of the awesome store manager they DID have until they literally forced them out the door by bringing in another person from another store with MINIMAL experience.  They do not appreciate the hard work their employees do and do not respect your skills or even consider them when hiring due to them literally hiring people at the same wage with 0 skills to offer. they like to keep non existent work ethic employees and expect their good employees to pick up all the slack because they are dependable. they gaslight around every corner.   I would not suggest working here even as a pitstop.   They are very clique and it is a rumor mill. if your not in with the management team your sidelined. i was fortunate to be in the circle and its still not great! 

Theres a big learning curve to this job so if you don't know much about flooring this might not be the job for you. overall it was a well managed business, however head office doesn't provide much support to the branches. the one thing i found unsettling was watching someone get fired before their 3 months probation was up simply because they didn't "fit in" with the staff at our branch even though they were working very hard. pay is pretty good for the work you perform there. I wasn't aware of the amount of physical labour i would have to do going in to the job which was a deal breaker for me as I prefer desk work and that's what i was thought to believe i would be doing. if you don't have a university education don't expect to move up within the branch/company.
