I would have orders sent daily through e-mail with clients information to contact them and set an appointment in their home for Insurance Companies. The day prior to all appointments I'd call to confirm and remind them of fasting requirements(if needed) prior to blood draw.
Most people welcomed you into their home, I did feel uneasy a few times being alone and not being able to tell anyone where I was for confidentiality reasons. On appointments I'd perform vitals, collect blood and/or urine and complete a medical questionaire with each client. Meeting new people is always enjoyable, telling them that they need to follow up with family doctor for elevated blood pressure was never a pleasure. Some were angry(even after manditory 24 hour follow up to confirm) and some were upset. Although the news may have been upsetting they were always happy with my handling the situation.

My position requires that I contact the clients and book appointments. Once these appointments are obtained, I go and complete the requirements set out by the Insurance Companies, as we are a Paramedical company.  I am considered a sub contractor, so therefore work at my own pace.  I truly enjoy my position here as I get to meet a lot of individuals from every walk of life.  I'm a very personable person, and seem to be able to put people at ease right away, which certainly helps with some of their phobia's.  As it has always been a passion of mine, to be able to help people, I truly don't consider the position I hold as work.

This was a small office with a tight knit team consisting of mostly employees who were family members of each other.  This translated into the office environment and made it an enjoyable place to work as every employee was treated like family.

Called clients to set up time/date to complete a paramedical for life insurance.  I worked independently.  Job was fun!  I enjoyed the riving and visiting homes and people.  Drawing blood is my favorite and I learned how to take blood pressures.

Working independently through the service that provides potential clients. Mobile job that also works from home. Make your own appointments which gives you the opportunity to be as productive as you want.

Hardworking honest team. 
There are many different hats can be worn here, from management, to doctor or RN to dispatcher and medical interviewer. 
There are several offices across Canada all providing underwriting services.

The work is stressful and the pay is low. There is steady work but not enough pay and not much opportunity for advancement within the company. There is not enough direction and you are left to figure things out on our own.

I am retired from full time employment & have time to do some part time work &  like to keep busy.The most enjoyable part of the job is meeting people.

Working as an independent contractor allows you to work with your own busy schedule and the harder you work the more money you make.

QUS, was a good place to work at.
I did a lot of data entry work, my manager did expect me to get the hang out it right away which was tough.
