Workplace culture is great until you move up the ladder (you can quickly lose your promotion and given a fixer assignment instead of being an appointment coordinator) or become a target of team managers. There is a very clear click there with most of the new hires being friends or acquaintances with the then hiring manager. If you happen to not be well liked by a team manager your life can be made super stressful.
Upper management (BDC Manager and above) have very little knowledge of their own actual systems. Trying to move faster than they can learn new modes of contact and moving into the group model rather than the one on one dealership model is not being done in a productive way. Things are rushed and then instead of the management taking ownership it is blamed on the appointment coordinator. Poor appointment coordinators are often treated better than good ones. Those kicked off of dealerships are actually given a hefty raise. Not the message management should be sending. 
Training is self teaching and it lacks in giving the appointment coordinator the knowledge they need to thrive on the floor. Management is sneaky with their clients hiding things from them to save face. Hiring practices are if your breathing you are hired. No care is given for quality staff nor is the wage competitive. Management is good at putting on airs of being great but once in as an employee you will see this is not the case. 
Some senior management lack basic people skills and walk around with the attitude "If not for me starting the BDC DealerMine would be no where." They are allowed to cause hostility in the work place with no one to keep them in check. When told something could be a labor board issue they will say to you "burden of proof is on you." or "You do need this job right."
The top person in the company sadly, is oblivious to how his upper management speak poorly of him and or how poorly some account managers and Team Managers will speak to appointment coordinators Some team managers are known to gossip about appointment coordinators when outside having their cigarettes knowing that nothing will happen to them as far as discipline.
The top person often takes what is heard from the Appointment Coordinators as them being unappreciative that he has not taken his business to Mexico, rather than actually listening when they are trying to let him know of the disrespect and dissension among his upper crust.

Working here was not my first rodeo in a call center. It allowed me to get my foot in the door for the automotive industry. Our management team changed a couple of times (while I do love the idea of promoting within the new manager did not have the experience nor the people skills to lead.) 

I was forced into working the late shift when I didn’t want to. It was only because one person lost their job (won’t go into detail) and we were short. The problem with that is I had no work/life balance. We needed more people for our team and when they were hired they lasted an average of 1 month or less. You are forced to make 130 calls a day (which on Mondays is impossible!), I was on 4 dealerships with an option to go on a 5th if required.  The service advisors I dealt with hated when we asked questions and we had to deal with angry people who questioned why we called and asked to be removed from the call list. It is only because of quorum that I am working at a car dealership right now as an appointment coordinator.  The training is not quite great! (No one explained to me the difference between the different types of tire swaps at the beginning!)

The best part of my experience was the ability to work from home in a relaxed environment, which made day-to-day work more manageable.

Unfortunately, most other aspects of the job were disappointing:
	•	Pay & Raises: The salary was poor for the workload and targets, with raises capped at 2–3% per year—far below inflation.
	•	Management: The management structure was chaotic. I had more than three managers in the past year alone, which created instability and confusion. Communication was lacking, and decision-making often felt disorganized.
	•	Training & Expectations: Training was minimal, and employees were often expected to train new hires without proper compensation. Call targets were difficult to meet considering the low pay.
	•	Job Security: Recently, Quorum laid off a large number of employees due to AI implementation. While AI may reduce some tasks, it cannot replace human interaction, and I believe this will eventually cause serious issues for the company, they’ll soon hit a walk :)

Overall, while I appreciated working from home, the poor pay, lack of communication, inadequate training, and unstable management made this a frustrating place to work. Unless Quorum addresses these core issues, I don’t believe their current direction will be sustainable.

Loved my job as an appointment coordinator and it was easy to advance.

However big warning, the senior managers will treat you awful when you enter any higher position then entry level. 

They will make SURE you know that they are higher up on the food chain then you.

They will shut you out of all conversations even when it's directly related to your job at the company.

They preach work life balance but don't be surprised if you are required to work 14 hour days.

It was not unusual for me to work 80 hours a week and be compensated for 40. 

The best part is they allow senior managers to come in and make changes without ever learning the actual job. So they will ask you for the answers and claim your ideas as their own.

I spent everyday being spit on from up high.

It must be easy to treat people horribly when you only have to pretend to care on teams every couple months. 

If you want an easy starter job apply (if they let you, they primarily hire from overseas now)  If you want to work some where worth advancing, look anywhere but here.

Quorum is a software company that operates an in-house contact centre. You take and make calls (inbound and outbound) on behalf of your car dealership clients, in my case on the Service side of the business. 

They provided training, all equipment and are hiring across Canada. I was only there, in a management capacity, for a short period of time but the company has some incredible benefits that you don't get elsewhere. The reviews aren't all accurate on this site, but there are some truths. It was a great job - work from home, do my assigned tasks, and clock out. No commute, no stress, and not the typical call centre work... this was actually enjoyable. I'd recommend this to anyone who is a call centre worker.

It's Monday to Friday, 9-5 (depending on your time zone), includes benefits and customers WANT to talk to you. I recommend at least applying and speaking with their recruiting team.

The company is broke and badly managed. Management and executives are very angry and shout, curse and demean employees to our faces. There is zero promotion or upward movement. There are no raises beyond the minimum raise at the end of the year that are less than cost of living. The pay and benefits are horrible. Our new employees are coming in 10k below the low end of the pay scale for the nation. This is a very toxic, chaotic and stressful workplace. Quorum will likely go out of business in the next few years.
If you work here, you will have to work unpaid hours to get your work done, and it's expected for you to do that. There is zero work/life balance. You are highly encouraged to work unpaid work at nights and weekends and you will be berated if you don't.
Stay away from Quorum.

I was very satisfied with this position I had lasted 5 years with the company and wish I could go back

There was nothing stressful about working with this company it was pretty much ease and no real stress at all I was able to work from the comforts of my home and have a full 40 hour schedule

I would say very good I'd rated a definite 10 out of 10

I was always eager to get up every morning and go to work I enjoy working with my coworkers as well as my management team I miss them very much I wish I could go back

A typical day at work is both engaging and rewarding—I get to collaborate with talented teammates, solve interesting technical challenges, and continuously refine my skills. I’ve learned a great deal about best practices in software development, scalable architecture, and teamwork in an agile environment.

Management is approachable, transparent, and genuinely invested in employee growth, which makes a huge difference in feeling valued. The workplace culture is inclusive, supportive, and innovation-driven, creating an environment where ideas are encouraged and appreciated.

A typical day at work would included answering customer inquiries regarding service, booking appointments, and working with parts. The automotive industry is huge and I have learned everything from maintenance services to recalls.
The management and co workers at Dealermine are effective and knowledgeable. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable in your work environment.
The hardest part of my job is the long hours. Twelve hours a day, 6 days a week, can get exhausting.
The most enjoyable part of my day is assisting customers with the most difficult issues and resolving them.

Horrible experience during training wouldn’t continue working there even if they paid me 100 dollars per hour ! It’s like working at a bootcamp ! They want young ones because they think they will accept anything for the job ! They set breaks but every so often they give you little breaks and if you do anything outside the box they get at you ! Trainer was good at delivering info but had a hard time making employees feel welcome and involved !
