I really enjoy this job, it's extremely rewarding thanks to the patients and most of my coworkers.

THAT BEING SAID! The company itself is a mess. Everything they do is for the benefit of management/dispatch.

Other than the blatant and egregious safety concerns, the worst part of this job is the scheduling. You are made aware of your next shift the night before, you are not guaranteed to work just because you are available, there might be days in a row where you will not hear from the dispatch to confirm you for a shift. They literally make the schedule the night before. If you have an issue with a coworker, they will not accommodate you. You are not given end times, leading to anywhere between 7 to 15 hour days.

I have never felt more respected and valued at a company. They truly care about their employees and want to see everyone succeed. With this being said, there are massive responsibilities that need to be taken seriously and dealt with respect. This job can be tough, with long hours and uncertain clock out times, but as long as you keep a level head, communicate, and pull your weight you will experience an amazing workplace. 
It also helps that the supervisors (Hamilton base) are both amazing/extremely helpful, and HR is more than reasonable/understanding. 

This job is extremely rewarding and has aided me immensely in progressing in my studies/career as a Paramedic. Can not recommend RNR enough!

The owners of RNR Patient Transfer company have no regard for their employees health and safety. They insist on putting their employees in unhealthy situations and when concerns are brought forth they respond with threats to terminate the employees job. 

The company has no regard for Occupational Health and Safety standards and insist on making their management and supervisors to disregard these safety measures. 

They will do anything to save money even if that means putting their employees and clients in harms way in order to do that.

I would not recommend this company or their services to anyone. 

The style of the job was one I loved and I miss dearly, however the company itself is one that I am glad I was encouraged to leave and in the end did leave.

I liked the job at RNR but the dispatch team was spiteful and almost seemed like they were intentionally trying to make the days harder for employees. There was no advancement opportunities,and the uniforms as well as the CPR certification, steel toe shoes, criminal background check and many other expenses cost upwards of $500 for a job that pays barely over minimum wage. There are no benefits, 10-16 hour work days. Your start time for the next day would be given to you at the end of your previous shift or the night before and they let you know at the end of the day when the shift is over.

Terrible pay for what the job implies, no start or end time, not trained properly (don’t train you at all on oxygen tanks), greedy and cheap owner, trucks barely work (old retired paramedic trucks with 0 suspension ; essentially like you at the back of a school bus), they’ll throw you under the bus and blame you if something goes wrong, have to be weary about lunch breaks because if you don’t have one they’ll still take it from you. Could 8-12hrs/day and full time will drive you insane.  

I found this job to be just okay. It was an easy job and the pay is decent but I found it hard to maintain a good work-life balance because you never knew when your shifts would be or how long they would be. 
For example, I could get a call on Sunday at 5 pm telling me to be at work at 7 am on Monday. Then once I'm working on Monday I wouldn't know when I'd go home until dispatch said I could and I'd learn when I'm working on Tuesday at the end of my Monday shift. Shifts would range from 8-16 hours usually so it was hard to make any plans outside of work on any day but Saturday.

I have worked here for about a year out of convenience while I attend school. Part time employees are able to state which days they are available.
It’s a dangerous job mostly because equipment is not properly maintained, I have seen management once since I’ve worked here. You don’t find out if you work until 8 hours before the shift making it difficult to plan a life. Minimum wage, so McDonald’s employees are making more because they have benefits...
Employees are treated poorly to be very honest . And on top of all that the uniform which is manditory is around 300$

- Good job to take care of people and build healthcare experience. My coworkers were pleasant to be around and taught me well, however two negatives I noticed were:

1) I was aware of employees engaging in serious incidents involving company vehicles, raising concerns about safety.

2) Dispatch changed my shift time without informing me, when asked about the issue they told me to check the app schedule, while management advised me not rely on it, which was confusing.


-forced to work over 12 hours
-long days some times with no breaks
-coworkers are great
-management is horrible, show favouritism
-trucks are unsafe, when you inform management you are told to drive them anyway
-3 days of training, that you learn nothing from
-people come and go like a revolving door
-the pay is horrible, no raises 
-dispatch is rude and could care less about you
-you are given less then 8 hours notice before a shift
-when you book days off they are always refused-even if booked months in advance.

I worked here for 6 months was injured due to company not sending additional staff for 350lbs lift, then was fired while on wsib and modified job. 

They also refused to provide me termination pay that I had to file with ministry of labour to obtain. 

turn over rate is high, no work life balance office staff are rude and ignorant to conditions of staff on the road. work long days 12-16 hour days with 2 breaks if that.
