A typical day at work consisted of Iron working, fitting, and rigging.
Every few days I would get a chance to work in a Tadano 80ton crane doing simple lifts and getting a feel for the machine.
Most of the management team was good and diligent about having a safe work environment. Some other members of management lacked this due diligence. Most of my co-workers were good workers. The hardest part of the job was being away from home 14-20 days at a time with what seemed like 5 days off. The most enjoyable part of the job was learning new skills and applying them to my daily duties and of course the money.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They are team players. Management is on board with safety and supports the program. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Working away from home. For some camp life is great but not for everyone.

The work environment is excellent and the safety culture is A ttt

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Early mornings and late nights. There is never a shortage of hours to be had.

The best part about working with Radium was the commrodery amongst all staff,whether you were at the lower end of the spectrum or the man running the show ,every employee knew what there position and goals were for that day but were always willing to give a new guy,like myself,the proper and safe way to do things,overall it was a good learning experience.

Radium Technologies Inc. (Radium) is a privately-owned energy construction service company providing facility construction, fabrication and oilfield maintenance services; with a management team that has a long successful history in the industry. The company first started in 2007, with humble beginnings, in the Grande Prairie region of Northwestern Alberta.

From the beginning was welcome by management and co-workers with open arms. They made me feel like part of a big family with no prejudice toward new workers. Was one of the best experiences since starting in the oil & gas sector (seismic) since 2011. Would recommend anyone thinking of getting in the industry.

What is the best part of working at the company?
They treat their employees like human beings. We’ll structured and organized.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Less stressful than most; the way it is managed takes the stress away for the employees 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Positive, safety oriented. Pleasant company to work for.

Although Radium pays fairly well the people that work there are awful. One of the managers is extremely afraid of getting chewed out by the contractors and works backwards most of the time. They're called radium TECHNOLOGIES but do all the payroll BY HAND. for 500+ employees that's pretty crazy. If there was errors they would blame the person with the lowest pay... do not recommend working here.

I enjoyed working for radium, well planned out work Safely and effectively, everyone communicated well and maintained Good attitudes, if someone had something going on they had an open door policy and seemed very understanding, they recognized when Good work was done they had a Good Safety oriented work ethic there and i would work for them again

There's no support from anyone in this company.  Favoritism is big here.  Safety is a joke, as there is a lot of drug use from Workers all the way up to Management.  Seems half of the staff in the office are bi-polar or have some kind of mental instability.  I would never recommend to anyone to work here.

Enjoyed working here. Great group of guys everyone was well experienced and friendly. Upper management can seem a little inexperienced at times and disconnected from the work force but there is plenty of experience of the floor so keep things smoothly operational.
