The interview process was fairly straightforward, lengthy with lots of steps; as such, I expected the job ( roles, responsibilities, duties) to be the same & unfortunately this was not the case at all.  While I get that this a high pressure environment, nothing seems to get done as there is a lack of communication as to what you are actually supposed to do vs. what actually has to be done. In short, you go into work confused as to what you are supposed to do and leave confused...As a result, this lead to negative, toxic stress. Plus side/ Takeway: You learn something new everyday in all aspects of life. Health first always. Never be afraid to ask questions either.

It was a good job it was over payed for what was needed goods benefits 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The hardest part of working there was the mentality of the other workers there was alot of arrangement and discrimination besides that I really did enjoy working there .

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was decent to an extent the culture was very bad

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
A typical day was doing utility jobs or operating a 980 loader feeding the mill with chips wich I enjoyed both Jobs alot

friendly people and good pay and floaters

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
dealling with the cold and learnig all the jobs

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
good and most of the time it was friendly

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
get my ten pad locks and my radio wait for a call get called go get a chainsaw lockout the area go in and get the problem fixed

All the time you are challenged on your limits related to Engineering/ Technical Knowledge/ Communications to Vendor on technical stuffs/ innovative thinking on the issues / subject knowledge update and Management of time. I love to work here in Engineering Dept as I get freedom to work, believe in myself and help grow the production , do the root cause analysis and carry out Capex projects related to improvements.

Start at 4:30am or 4:30pm depending on your shift if you’re nights or days. Show up to your department get briefed by the person you’re relieving, start work. Clock out once the other shift arrives. 

The team was great to work with and everyone was very supportive. I never felt I was alone other experienced staff were ready teach me.
 I had a memorable time and I wish to work as a full time employee in the future.

Lack of communication between management and corporate can make the job confusing at times. Some members of management lack leadership and makes it a negative environment to work in. 

Great pay and great benefits. Situated in small quiet town which is a bonus if that is what you are looking for. 

Having education and lots of experience and training in the field moved 14 hours from down south For FT work only to find out once up I’m a spare list

They don’t care about individuals’ career goals or ideas. Management is full of nepotism and people close to retirement. There is little to no succession planning so the knowledge is never passed on properly. You will need to wait 10+ years to move up in line and you won’t receive any raises. 

You will learn a lot of you want to. You will moved around to new locations all over the mill if you don't apply on a posting that keeps you locked in there for at least three years. Regardless if you like the job or not.
