Red Rock Camps

Working for red rock camps was not the most enjoyable thing I have ever done. Management was not the friendliest, and there was always this constant threat of being replaced. Housekeepers are disposable and underpaid there. It was already hard enough being away from home for 21 days at a time let alone the pay only being 11 dollars for camp work and having this constant reminder that your work isn't perfect. Management had this constant image in their mind that perfection was an absolute must, but being understaffed made this particularly difficult.

Do not ever work for this company. Every department lacks respect for one another. Too much gossip from employees and management. I was supposed to work for 21 days straight. I ended up working 24 days straight instead. I hated just about everyone I worked with cause they were ignorant. The head chef I had to work under was a complete jerk around with the rest off kitchen staff. I called them today to see if there was work and the dum blond said I was let go. Kinda off figure if your a hot blond with big boobs then all men respect you right. Then again they lack respect due to the amount off gossiping that went on.

Great company. You actually get to know the managers and are welcome at the head office in Edmonton.
Most other camp companies are just offices somewhere else and you never meet or see anyone or know the admins and ceo

start work at 7 am finish at 7 pm  cleaning rooms for clients

most enjoyable part of the job is working i love to work

did enjoy working with red rock and managed to purchase a vehichle while with redrock camps was an easy fast trip to camp and back as well as nice clean fire camp i did enjoy working with redrock camps

I enjoyed the environment and the crew I worked within the kitchen the also the employees that I remember keeping in contact with via email and phone, for follow-up seasonal employment.

I worked 12 hour days
I learned a lot about controlling food cost and time management
Hardest part of the jobs is the inconsistency in in the numbers of people in camp
I enjoyed the pay and the hard work

Red Rock was like a family .Always looked out for one another as a team.Best part of my experience was the learning and being educated for safty.People who care about people.

The job requirements for the employees is
Good for some, too much for others.
Management is unorganized, the work is 
Inconsistent and the pay is below any other
Camp company. 

They don't mention that you're only being hired for a season.  As far as I knew, was a permanent position.  Once the fire camps closed, the lay-off wasn't even mentioned, just got locked out of the employee website.
