The experience to work at the Reena Battle Centre was like a lot more ok than great for once as of last year (2024). 
The management was good, and they did like every single thing to calm those kids down. 
Although, those kids like got way too out of control with that staff while I tried to concentrate on listening to the tasks and doing what was given to me.
 It's like quite impossible to be understanding and attentive to these tasks that are given to anyone in that workplace or in any workplace while there is an insane massive amount of chaos that is going on, especially while that door is fully closed. 
Other than this honest review about my experience to work at the Reena Battle Centre as of last year (2024), I am like extremely glad to continue moving forward from working at the Reena Battle Centre. 

I enjoyed my time working for Reena for the majority of my years.  They pay was not up to competitive standards with other agencies.  They payed slightly less. Most of the money spent could be at the Battle Centre (head office) where everything was always up maintained nicely however, the group homes were individuals lived were falling apart. There was gossip ramped amongst residential counsellors, telling each other how to do their jobs.  It can be stressful at times.  Working with the individuals who are serviced at Reena was a joy to work with and very rewarding.

Reena needs to pay more attention to their staff and listen to information that is relayed to the supervisors and the management. The staff need to be better respected by the supervisors and management and there should be more trust when employees ask for time off. They need to understand that the staff have families that they need to care for and although working with clients is important, it should consume all your time. Instead of having lieu time, this should be changed to paying overtime or should be attached to time off.

Overall Reena is a welcoming environment. However, they care more for the client "individuals" than the staff. I regularly expressed feelings of unsafe work and was told it was the expectation of Reena to do the job regardless of not feeling safe.
It dumbfounds me that an organization built of advocating and accommodating for people with special needs is incapable for advocating, accommodating, and supporting their staff.

The worker is barely mentioned or taken into consideration in the scheme of things. It's all about the 'individuals we support' at every turn. Training culture is appreciated but could do more with Trainings that address more of what we do e.g. ABA every 2 years.

Disgusting managers are forcing staff to work during Covid19, when none of them have to show up for work. This organization does not care about the employees at all.. They only care about pleasing rich families so that they can get large donation for the organization. They don't care about the clients or staffs health and we could die and they did nothing to help us..They don't care of the staff get Corona

Reena Foundation is an working that serves as a step stone for many immigrants in this country. It gives a person the opportunity to acquire experience and provide training in order to better serve the clients. It gives a person the opportunity to work and at the same time to pursue an education. It's flexible.

I think the way the HR treats the staff is unfair. The staff are all young, the job is fun and a lot of outings. Work culture is okay, could be better. Most of the staff knew each other and are friends and will make you feel left out. If you just keep being independent you will work fine there. 

Please do not work here. The money is decent but management is a huge problem and adds to the work stress. They don't care about you or your mental health 

Relaxed culture. Strong needs for the parent organization meant challenges to achieve targets. Objectives driven. Good Board. Good vision of the parent organization and good support from the parent organization.
