Working at Remediclean has been a Rollercoaster. I only stayed so long as needed a mortgage approval  Otherwise I would have left a long time ago. In my near year there I saw about 40 people Pass through this company ... Most leaving within the month and sometimes even within a matter of days and weeks !! Towards the end of my time there we had a Great Crew and good potential but higher management caused too many issues- for example rejected the idea of more competitive Wages to our hard working labourers to match the current market - didn't want to allow good workers to progress and get more qualified, Asked too much without fair compensation. They even didn't want to provide us water on our job site even though it is Alberta law and expected us to use the dirty toilet tap to get water even though the plumbers said they would never drink that or let their own guys drink it. We can only carry so much and its hard work so we need to fill up bottles somewhere but nope ... Also there is not enough hours, No overtime pay - and alongside bad pay for the Job it's best to avoid. The supervisors were great and the majority of labourers I worked alongside whether it be a few days or weeks but they did the best thing and Left. This company isn't worth your hard work and time !! Go somewhere where you are valued and get the support you need to thrive. There is basically no one even left as this company is a Joke to work for. 

Highest management gives poor communication, support, and advancement of the company and staff. This has caused an extremely toxic environment and until changes are made to upper management this company has no growth or future. No appreciation for the hard working employees especially supervisors. All staff including labourers, hr and office staff where fantastic but all are no longer there anymore. Management even refused to buy bottled water for a site and told us to drink tap water in a bathroom if we finish water we brought from home. Please be extremely cautious if you wish to apply for a job at remediclean. 

They are extremely unorganized and you’re often left with more questions than answers. Extreme lack of communication causes confusion amongst supervisors and workers. The manager/owner, HR, and project managers will ignore you in hopes that you quit, instead of providing any kind of feedback. They expect LONG hours with NO overtime compensation, they don’t care about your personal life and they will run you in to the ground. They don’t pay well enough for the risks associated with asbestos abatement nor do they make the 10-14 hour days worth it as THEY DO NOT PAY OVERTIME TO LABOURERS. Stay away from them.

An awful place to be employed, the supervisors will treat you in a terrible manner and can often be caught being racist. The companies higher level management takes no action against their own supervisors due to the supervisors experience being needed. The company constantly has to hire temp workers due to their inability to maintain employee relationships. Overall the company provides an unhappy work environment and I recommend seeking employment else where.

If you like disorganization go right ahead and apply. It’s decent work but the pay isn’t worth it and neither are the people. Nothing is prepared when you go in and you’re constantly doing work for other companies. There’s never an easy day for myself personally as I constantly work alone with no assistance most days. Highly unprofessional company. I literally watched the lethbridge office takeover the Calgary office and fire everyone but me. The turnover rate is ridiculous. If you want to feel appreciated or respected this is NOT the place for you

I was forced to work out of town when i had a very important dentist appointment almost lost my job because of that. The pay isnt worth the ammount of physical labor you do there. There is no HR. Management treats you like a dog. Very little training provided they just throw you in the thicket of everything. Lots of drug users on sites. Overall rating 2/10  no OT cant bank hours. Cant trust anybody there they will rat you out

Nothing... bad pay, long hours,no overtime.

Lack of management oversight, unrealistic deadlines

Toxic environment,  lack of foresight 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Stressful and chaotic  with unrealistic deadlines

Little to no room for growth for yourself or the company. Spent months jumping between two sites and only ever heard how we are losing money and it was our fault. Don’t work here unless you like not knowing if there will be work when you show up and if you wanna make less than the industry standard.

If the company was the titanic, management is the iceberg.

Befor they fired the ceo of the company.  

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The new ceo just wanted to hire Spanish speaking employees and got rid of everyone else

New PM is awesome. Great communication, great staff and supervisor. Supervisor is funny and makes sure all equipment needed is on site, she makes the job enjoyable and very rarely has a bad day. If I could go back I would to work under her again
