Rick’s Oilfield Hauling has been a good place to work so far. One thing I really like is the support they provide. They have a wash bay that will wash your truck and trailers for free, which is a huge bonus and keeps everything looking clean without costing you anything. They also have a mobile mechanic that will come out to you if something happens on the road, which really helps reduce downtime. On top of that, they have their own tire shop and trailer shop, so repairs and maintenance get handled quickly.

Pay is pretty standard for the oilfield hauling industry, with the usual 45-day pay cycle. Dispatch is easy to work with and understanding when things come up, and they do their best to work with you. Management has treated me well and I haven’t had any issues so far.

Overall, it’s been a positive experience. They have good support in place and treat drivers with respect.

Very bad place to work for. Family run business that does not know how to get along with themselves. So naturally they treat others horrible. Very top heavy with family pay cheques very big for what any of them do. Management team consists of 2 non educated people. That never drove or lived in a truck in their life. They feed you good stories  when you start and all they do it for is to justify their over payed jobs. They have no safety personnel or safety programs at all. The shop guys try to fix trailers and trucks  but the 
buildings are old and dirty and the trucks and trailers are old. Way better organized companies out there than this one. Not a good  atmosphere and very high turn over because of management and owners lack of knowledge 

Review e-mail for new information, incident reports, driver electronic log books and client /registries information. Check work schedule for safety meeting, inspections, etc. Consult management on any unusual items or new items. Discuss day's plan with co-workers.

The hardest part of the job was dealing with new or updated computer programs.

The most enjoyable part of the job was interacting with the personnel: company, contract and clients.

Just like any other oil field based company Rick's oilfield hauling offers decent pay but unstable work due to always changing oil prices. They are a good company to work for when oil is booming but due to the recent crash in oil prices rates have been low followed by a lack of stable work.

Management and dispatch were top notch.  I had asked for a 10/4  schedule they gladly accommodated to, and when I was able to come back early, they always had work. 
Issues with the truck/trailer. their on site mechanics usually have you back on the road within hours are very next day.
 100% good company to work for 

It's a wonderful group of awesome professionals to work with. You are definitely required to stay ontop of your Game. 
The dedicated Professionals will always rely safety sensitive information way ahead of time. Truckers appreciate this.

Management is not interested in the driver's problems,  payment delay about 1.5 months, dispatch not respecting the drivers. Payment is low in industry, don't give any discounts on fuel for owners, every paycheck they will surprise you how much they charge you for everything. 

I have been at Rick’s for quite some time and I have been always been treated fairly and well. Overall very grateful place to work and feel included. We have recently had some new management members in place and they are treating everyone fairly. 

Very enjoyable place to work. great people and awesome work environment. Want work to be done at a good pace but do not expect you to break your back.

This was a great company in past but with new management everything went downhill . Used to make good money but now have to pay money to ricks in order to work there.
