1-working hard to meet company standard .2- learned a lot how to meet people know how to speak with guest ,co-worker and jobs 3-management some are the best,some help you go the extra miles 4-coworker are the best love to work as team 5-hardest part of the job embarkation morning its very ruff to put a lot of thing together 6-most enjoyable part of my job putting my best foot forward to go above and beyond for my guest ,best love to clean and smile with guest and having little fun with your team partner .those were my best.worst they need to make job a little easy for crew especially for state room attendant its getting rough and harder some management need to speak better to coworker very disrespectful in language worst part of the job embarkation morning to wake up 5.00 o,clock off your bed to get thing ready for new set of guest very ruff ,rccl need to let some management to be friendly they are not especially them with the strip on there shoulder,rccl need to let guest pay stateroom attendant when finish work so hard for seven days or three and a four days nothing from these guest its very pain full we had family and stuff to take care and this system back of the house its should of never be crew member have a family and at the day state room attendant make guest cruise more and more of there service.

Royal Caribbean one of the best companies I have worked for.   In terms of organization,  taking care of crew member in terms  of accomodations, food and recreations  I will give it a excellent.   We were rigidly trained for emergencies since we were basically living on a vessel.  Every week we were trained to go to our muster stations in order to ensure the safety and security of our guests and the crew. 
For purposes of public health they made sure we meet the standards.  We are  well trained crew member and I can say its Royal the name stands for itself.  
Workplace culture was good since we were so diverse people from different walks of life but we still maintain the friendliness and enjoyed our work there but still lived in peace and harmony.
I give it a thumbs up!!!! I miss you Royal Caribbean Cruise Line.  The waking up part of training we were like military people getting up to make sure we go to our trainings and waking up for stores in order to replenish our stocks for the day.  We had to work in systematic way  to cope up ourselves on the ship fast paced life. The most enjoyable part was dealing with our guests I could say I enjoyed it and loved the incentives and tips that came with it. and of course experiencing to the world in an inexpensive way.

Starts with an open mind this is a strong recommendation.you will be working with world-class trained staff from around 75 National countries Vasa amount off different personalities. Strengths learning techniques and a whole lot of creative way to have fun. opportunities to learn is within your reach desire or strength. there are very strict guidelines that are implemented to keep you safe while I'm bored. cameras are allocated all over except for in your cabin. security is always on high-alert. wages are paid on a two-week basis .you will have to submit your passport. Deep cleaning and sanitation is always a must
@ the end of the day. Staffs and crew are allowed large Gathering of countrie's Workforce will have opportunities to have on-board parties for downtime.
 training session game rooms events exercise and other such included activities for mental training and happiness of the crew .
All well-being is sort after doctors and medical facilities on board along with other shop shops and needs are all available.

 This is a great place to start out if you were single or just looking to improve your life financially. It's an aggressive job but it's a fun-filled job "must have open mind a strong requirement"

Have a broken schedule 5 hours break in the afternoon where you can go out in some ports of call to have a little break. I learned to handle different kinds of people from different country, religion, background and culture. Management shore side are great, very helpful but the management on board needs more knowledge on how to interact with different types of people, to learn what they can do to better assist their crew members, communication is the key. The hardest part of the job is when the ship catches big waves and rough seas and still you have to be nice and keep the smile on your face especially for the guests, quite challenging when you feel the motion sickness for long and then long hours of work prior the ship's arrival to USA. The most enjoyable part is having a lot of friends from different places in the world where you learn a lot of things like local foods, delicacies, culture, religion, beliefs. And of course the biggest part is you got to travel the whole world :)

a typical day at work,i'm working breakfast shift , I would start at 5:30 am, preparing and plating for service, once service starts ill continue replenishing and prepare for lunch or dinner. I'll take  a 30 minutes break then return to work and continue my prep and this goes on until about 10:30 am, breakfast closes and i'll b off until 4 pm, dinner time i'll  assist with appetizer while i prep for breakfast the next day take a break return to work until my working day ends at about 10 pm. Daily i learn a lot in the smallest ways, how to cope with different people from all over the world how to create a new dish, to make a new decoration or garnish, different presentations. Management is great most time. co-workers are fun most times they make the work seem fun and easier,more enjoyable. hardest part of the job is being away from home and family for 8 months. most enjoyable part is travelling, seeing new places meeting new people on a regular,plenty parties. it's vacationing while working.

I started as Assistant Cook/baker in a cruise ship in 1993 and have been working in the kitchen since then.  I believe my more than 10 years of experience working in a 5-star cruise ship preparing food for 2500 international guests has made me excel in this job. It has provided me with a lot of opportunities to learn not only on food preparation but also in the use of the kitchen equipment, storage and disposal of food items according to company standards and following Unites states Public Health (USPH) cleaning procedures for work surfaces and all related equipment and utensils and assembly of workstation for the next meal shift.  I was given opportunity to train and guide entry-level cooks and kitchen employees because of my good work record.  I try to improve my skills by not only attending company training but I also enroll to courses such Commercial Breadmaking to further enhance my capabilities.

Working for Royal Caribbean was a once in a life time experience where I was essentially getting paid to travel the world. 

The job was to be part of the on board Orchestra, playing all kinds of shows to entertain the guests, whether this be playing in the weekly production of Saturday Night Fever, sight reading a guest entertainer show, or playing Jazz for the captains cocktail party on formal night. 

This role really helped me to gain a feeling of responsibility, as i was in charge of my own performance on stage and off stage and all issues relating to the Drums would be my responsibility to resolve. 

As well as this as the orchestra drummer, I was in charge of all the other drummers on the ship. My role with this was to ensure that standards were kept, and the general maintenance of the drums was up to standard.

The ship I was assigned to work has almost 4,000 guest every cruise so we are busy every day for food preparation especially the food for dinner, the galley has always been crowded because of the waiters on the line. I've learned how to do my work fast . always accurate because we will be rated each cruise for the service overall, our management has always been organized and has a strict standard when it comes to service. my co workers has always been helpful to me and we really have team work.  the hardest part of the job is the strict regulation of USPH, we really have to go deep cleaning everyday. the chefs are always checking the fridge, everything.  the most enjoyable part of the job is we get to enjoy parties for a job well done lie if we got 100% in the USPH inspection and we are the #1 in delivering the wow according to the highest ratings.

A typical day at work is making reservations, receiving calls from guests and setting up the tables of my lovely Italian restaurant, Portofino. I have learned to deal and resolve problems quickly, deal with different nationalities. Management is very accomodating, always concern about the safety of their crew. Not all co-workers are easy to deal with. Since we come from different countries, each and every one of us has different customs, traditions and attitude. You just have to adjust yourself to your surroundings and should have a heart made up of stone to be able to survive. Hardest part? when the Captain declares that the ship can't dock because of bad weather while everyone is expecting a shore leave. That means guests have to stay onboard and that means everyone in the dining room will be BUSY. The most enjoyable part of the job is I got to see the WORLD for free!
