If you value yourself and your time, DON’T work here. The management is horrendous. If you try to speak up, you will be terminated. It’s sad to see how much managements decisions hurt the children in care that we support.  
This is the worst work environment I have ever been a part of, and it took a big toll on my mental health and my spirit. Don’t work here.

The management don't support or value staff. You are expected to answer phone 24/7. No work life balance. You have to fill your shifts if sick. No discipline let kids run around without consequences. 
There is no room for advancement. No idea how to run a group home environment. Treat staff awful. Run...

i was let go bc i have foster child and no respite to help.  overall my work performance was good and rewarded with annual self evaluation. i would work there again if i had the opportunity. it was a great job. i was sorry i had to leave. i helped lots of families and appreciate me as their worker. i will miss my team and clients. 

Management do not treat employees fairly, they make employee decisions based on rumours and who they like that week   Extreme bias of different cultures.  Long hours are expected.  No job security.

Very stressful with long hours, limited resources for prevention, communication big factor. Too many children in care.  Not enough training on cultural component.

I have an amazing supervisor Who respects and recognizes the hard worker that I am and encourages my development. My supervisor is extremely knowledgable in their role and encourages me along the way in my learning.

SAGKEENG CHILD AND FAMILY SERVICES is a not a very good company to work for lots of man Rights claims against them by my employees they do not treat their stuff right they threatened them and put in hostel situations.

The work is good, the pay is average. Of course working with children can be difficult but I appreciate every opportunity I get. It was great experience for me.

Days were fun energetic, full of laughs and working with the culture orientated teachings of the ojibway people and taking youth out for outings
