-An average of 14 years  to be on permanent payroll at SAQ in montreal. 
-First two years, better stay on wellfare because there is no hours guaranty.
-say goodbyes to four weekends..  friday sat and sun are mandatory when you get in.  
-anyone can become a ''boss''and dont pay them good for years before they are assignated a shop.
-The CSN union works in  kahoot with the owners. and they will F you up for years to come. 
-no real job advantages.

Decent job, union environment. Very little possibility of advancement, and you might wait several years before actually getting an official full-time position - even though you might be working full-time hours as a "part-timer" within that time. Tasks are repetitive (mostly cash and stock) and there isn't always much of an effort from management to ensure that those with higher seniority are doing floor-work instead of the cash. You notice that the overall managing of the company is not the best after 1-2 years (ex. focus on cost-cutting through understaffing and under-hiring). About 20% of the staff ends up injured because it's always the same people doing heavy lifting.

If you are ambitious and dedicated, do NOT go to SAQ. Most people waste time chatting and criticizing. It takes at least 10 years and most often more than 10 years to get a permanent position. During that time you are paid less to do the same job as a full time employee. Management is very bad. You get absolutely no recognition for the work you do. You even get criticized by the management and other workers for doing more than what you're asked for. A place to avoid at all cost! 

Speaking with clients about the process of applying to the Inspire program or singing up to the general website. Helping clients with the application process. Meeting with our group and managers to review our targets and goals. The most enjoyable part of the job was being able to build report with numerous clients and being able to help them. The hardest part of the job was having to tell the few clients when there was something specific we could not help them with. Management at SAQ was the best I've had in a long time.

What is the best part of working at the company?
When you start at the SAQ, you are not guaranteed hours and most likely will have to sit by the phone and wait… It is a unionism institution so hours are give by seniority so, it will take a few years to have full time hours… All new hires are part time…no insurance, no benefits.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Always being “on call”…. It is not a stable job for family life…weekends are mandatory

I have worked at the warehouse in the east end of Montreal for 2 months. The management are incompetent and sometimes don't care too much about your opinions or ideas. Safety at work is bellow average. Advancement and seniority are really bad here. Don't work here unless desperate for a job and yes it looks good on your resume that's the only good thing.

Horrible environment. No job stability.
Always shortstaffed. Virtually no training. Horrible technology; everytime they do any kind of supposed upgrades, the system ends up with plenty of bugs.
Managers that only care about their own bonuses and chances of promotion rather than the proper running of the store. I would never recommend working for this company!!!!

Long time ago, it was a nice place to work, now there's a so bad atmosphere I wouldn't recommend anyone to work there. No gratitude at all from the bosses, you must bust your a** in any way possible. An ordinary day, you'll have to lift more than 50000 lbs without any machinery to help you. A dangerous place to work. If you wanna break your back, go there.

everyone starts on contract.  Only those who had an in via upper management stand a chance to stay.  Senior management only respect those in their inner circle. 

The job as a whole was an enjoyable experience that brought many connections. The work was quite easy as you would either be stocking the shelves or work the cash. However, there would often be rushes of customers coming in at once which definitely made the work more stressful.
