The Magnetic Bearing division has some really cool technology and opportunities. The development work is challenging and interesting and it was great to have hands-on experience with the full lifecycle from concept to prototype to product.
Being a small cog in the larger SKF machine, it was easy to feel lost without effective leadership and support from the larger divisions.

What is the best part of working at the company?
The ability to sell a high quality product.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Structure changes and the lack of communication.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good team aspect. Positive co workers, but poor system setups.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Talking to current and new clients.  Solving issues that come up.

Very good company to work with until management switched over to US headquarters.
Staff was friendly, positive, and cheerful and very cooperative. Positive feeling when office staff asks for professional input from IT. Duties were multiple  and offered varied work experiences.

Overall my experience working at SKF Canada was very positive, as the work atmosphere was very easygoing with few restrictions, rather than qualifying the simple daily work quota. Management was very friendly and approachable.

Training is non-existent with lack of direction and management is poor but this is obviously dependent on the manager you have. Work/life balance is good unless you are the one on the team who knows more coding. Environment is stressful and there is way too much company politics and favouritism behind the scenes.

I am still currently employed with SKF but at this time in my life I would like to work at a part-time position and closer to my home in Markham.

Working on redundant project. The manager teams are very bad. Don’t know how to communicate with people. Usually very rude. Pushing worker a lot. Workload is heavy. I didn’t see any communication and leadership skills from the management team. There is no working culture in this department.

Interesting company - SKF is a leader in its field.  Great quality products.
The days went by fast.
Exposure to different types of responsibilities and the role you were hired for may evolve.

very competitive, high expectations from manager, excellent communications between the colleagues.
relation with customers and en users very good.
high training for all colleagues, god advancing and salary
health insurance an retirement program.

They sacrificed an entire division here in Ontario to meet quarterly numbers. 
It was a division they had just purchased. Formerly part of another company with long term employees. 
All to meet projections. Disgusting business practice.
