I would work 6am-3pm and my day would begin with working the overstock in the warehouse to fill up the shelves, bread deliveries would come in and then a fresh and ambiance delivery would come in ready to be worked with the majority of the team helping out.

Like with other retail companies I've worked for, all of the staff are friendly and the reason I enjoy the job as much as I do. 

Management at my store are excellent, which can be a rarity in a retail setting!

The pay of course isn't great but its to be expected in a retail role. During Covid-19 however, we've had money off vouchers for all staff (minimum being £6) and double discounts too. 

A typical work day included cleaning houses and business's and always had a positive atmosphere.

What I learned from this experience is to never trust work colleagues with personal information.

Management and Supervisor Team need to be on same page regarding the Supervisor eating food out of clients cupboards.

Hardest part of the job was doing up to 9 houses/business's a day but that was the best challenge

Working at the Spar was an enjoyable experience with both my co-workers and customers alike. Providing a valuable service to a small town for all their house hold and food essentials. It would involve sales and services such as bill payment, cashing up at the end of shift and store closure procedures. I wouldn't say that I found anything difficult about my position except for the late night revelers.

Way underpaid for the work done. They pay you minimum wage if your lucky enough to get paid. The average wage for merchandising is $17-$18/ hr and they will give you $15 like they are doing you a favor or something. You're considered an independent contractor so no taxes taken off etc.  No vacation pay or anything.  No benefits or vacation pay/time.

Nags Head i was a waitress serving  customers and waitring on tables.Spar Shop. I would serve customer with their shopping packing their bags doing stock cheek and doing date cheeks on stock and reducing old stock helping to fill shelfs and doing stock rotation.

I’ve been working for the company for over 2 years, going on to year 3 in the next couple of months, I absolutely love my job, I love the feeling of getting to work independently yet still getting to work as a part of a team with the store you are assigned to you meet so many wonderful people. I highly recommend this company.

i worked for spar for around 8 years and the job its self was not really hard it could be busy at times and on delivery days would come home knowing you had worked but it was a nice job I was a supervisor so had a bot of responsibility wich I enjoyed i liked getting to know the regular customers 

I really loved working here management was really friendly always willing to help if needed the hour's are really good get to know ur regular customers and what they have.

Since I started working here the staff has completely changed in around five months. People normally work here for a month and quit because of the boss. I was told off by my boss and taken off the rota for not doing tasks my supervisor is meant to do. A horrible working environment with a horrible boss and horrible hours.

in spar it was hard going long exausting hours on your feet going home with back ache. management was great helped with anything you needed and co-workers were great good laugh. the hardest part of my job was the long hours standing in the one place doing the same thing over and over again,
