SUPERIOR CABINETS

I took the day shift for this job. It's  a 10 hour shift job. So the typical day at work is that you wake up at 3 in the morning and work starts at 5. I worked in the miscellaneous and wrapping department and first would talk with co-workers for a little bit and then start working. We would have only 2 15 min breaks one in the morning and one in the afternoon and also 1 30 min lunch in the afternoon.

So what I've learned at the job was learning how to properly wrap material. How to scan the material using the scanner and computers. The management there is very good they do not tolerate any bad or lazy workers there. The hardest part of the job would be if you don't have and strong muscles it would be hard. The most enjoyable part of the job was since I worked in the summer and it was very hot. The staff would give the workers would give popsicles for us to cool down and feeling good after work.

I'll start with the good. Work is pretty easy and the majority of staff are pleasant. 
Now for the bad. Below average pay and benefits. Very little incentives,training and communication. Recommendations are if you take a job here don't complain about anything.  Their solution is just to replace you rather then work towards a solution. The company brags about their diversity but they hire a diverse work staff so that they can pay below market value.  There is a reason a company thats been around that long only has an average length of service of 6 years. 

The staff in Calgary were great for most part although a severe wall between departments and a lot of the blame game played mainly between sales and operations company made some management changes which turned moral up a lot but no matter how well certain area work it can't make up for the poor decisions made by owners and their head management team. A lot of stress has been placed on coordination team due to lack of head office communications and management 

I enjoy working at superior cabinets. Working at Superior i get to meet and talk to customers and clients and make great conversation as well as assist them with their needs. The management as superior is amazing and the employees are very friendly and outgoing. The environment at superior is happy and employees are always willing to assist other employees as well as customers and clients. Superior Cabinets has a great team.

This is a good company with good support. I did this for 6 months, then my back couldn't handle lifting up large wall cabinets. I could have hired a helper, but I would have had to pay them out of my pay, which wouldn't be worth it. The cabinets themselves sometimes had sloppy assembly with measurements off a bit, plus there was glue residue that I had to scrape off sometimes.

This was a contractor position, and was a good experience overall. The work was very physically demanding, and the days could be long. Most of the work was in new neighbourhoods, so there was a lot of driving. I started having back problems from lifting cabinets myself everyday, so I pursued other employment.

My ratings is always 5 because it is really good company I recommend my friends and families can work there.they had good pay and working hours.in every events they have a free pizza or barbecue lunch.

Enjoyed my position as a warehouse coordinator at Superior Cabinets in Calgary.  I was able to make great changes with company support, everyone was professional and a great team to work with.  Great management and they treat employees with respect and give them opportunities for education.

It was only a manufacturing firm. And Just production was important in terms of  top management. They were not leader. Engineering department was significantly weak because of their poor relationship to management. On the other hand, the supervisor was excellent.


The atmosphere is upbeat and positive. Everyone is inviting and welcoming. Everyone is frayed equally and part of the team. They carry an amazing work life balance and want to see everyone succeed no matter what your position is.
