An Average day would require me to begin with making sure the shipment of product is accounted for and put away in the warehouse.
We would make sure that all of our coolers and display cases were filled, and that would require stocking pre-packaged deli and meat products, cutting and hand packaging a variety of beef and pork, and processing hamburger. At the end of the day, it was required that we thoroughly clean and sanitize the department and make sure it was ready to open the next day. It was a wonderful environment to work in with much interaction with customers who we would often get to know by name and make custom orders for. The customer interaction was the most enjoyable part of the job. The most difficult was accounting for the shipments of product, as they often came in 60-80 pound boxes.

A day would begin with doing the meat grinds for opening at 7:00 am
Cutting and packing pork and beef for the cases, packing seafood for the cases, working the rotisserie. I learned the proper way to present meat, what to look for in the product. Workplace culture was very cliquey.  You had to keep on the good side of certain people.  They discouraged questions.  There is a lot of heavy lifting and it really gets to you sometimes.  There is a buddy system set up but no ever seemed to be available.  The most enjoyable part of the job was when there were enough people there to keep up with the demand. We had a ball when we were busy.  Overall I enjoyed working there, but you'd better watch your back.  There was a lot of "politics".

A typical day at work would consist of cashing out members, moving their items from the belt to the cart and trying to sell the higher up more expensive membership to all members. i learned a lot about how to sell memberships and how to make the members happy. Management was either a hit or miss. Sometimes they were awesome and sometimes they were horrible. My co workers were very easy to get along with but management was a different story. The hardest part of working there was definitely moving the heavy items all day. The most enjoyable part was definitely the customers.


Great place to work for. Managers were helpful and listened to suggestions.  A typical day included picking up cash from registers several times a shift, or whenever called upon for large cash sales.  Providing change for the cashiers and balancing the registers based on the days sales.  The final step was balancing the cash office and putting together the cash deposit for pickup.  That final step is the hardest part of the job when the final pickups are large.  Everything needs to be completed on time so the pickup is not missed.
My co-workers were quite friendly and fun to work with.  Enjoyed ourselves when shifts overlapped and shared the workload appropriately.

Most days at Sam's club were spent restocking shelves, greeting customers and making sure their customer service needs were being meet.  While there I learned every aspect of the business including hard-lines, produce, jewelry and customer service help desk.  The most challenging part of the job would have to be the customer service help desk because you are dealing with upset customers on a daily basis.  But this provided me with the opportunity to use my active listening skills and help customers to resolve their issues.  Best part the of the job would have to be the people I worked with and was just a great environment to work in.

A typical day at work was satisfying, learning new things all the time and growing in the sales world. Management was great, make you feel a place you wanted to work there. Co-workers was always pleasant and helpful. The hardest part of the job was learning new thing at first, but once you learning it, it becomes a piece of cake. The most enjoyable part of the job was every one was a team and getting along well and everyone working to get the job done.

More con's then pro's to mention.
If you want a TEMPORARY job right out of school or in college. I recommend. TEMPORARY.
You will fall under the  higher percentage will quit or be fired.
Turn over rate is VERY HIGH.
Poor store manager, and managers are incompetent.
Sam Walton would roll over in his grave for this high level of stupidity.. 
You would have to work there to understand.

Speechless !  Warning do not sign up for overnight you want have a life if you do sleeping habits eating habits change quickly . Also they expect you to 
do everybodyy else work after you are done with your assignments . Also some of the people are lazy .

At Sam's Club, it was very enjoyable work environment. My work and co-workers were very happy and professional. 
Management was a little poor but they were working on it to make it better but unfortunately before they could success it they had to close the company.
It was a sad day but we all hoped to find a similar job at other locations.

Cleaning ,stocking shelves,operating ,machines .
People in stores that use facilties are not very clean.
Management was great.
Co workers work very nice.
clean fickle matter off walls and floors.
Meeting lots of new people.
