A typical day as my position would have been setting tables, serving beverages such as water or coffee, clearing tables once dinner is finished,
polishing silverware and wine glasses, maintaining a clean and clear work space and making sure the members of the club are happy and satisfied with our service.
I have learned what it is like to work in the waitress and serving industry, I've learned how to cope with working at a high pace and working under stress, and I have learned a lot about customer service in my time at the club.

I've never felt so disrespected at a job as I did this one. The job itself is amazing with great perks like free food and flexible hours. The banquet supervisors are incredibly kind. Unfortunately the person above the supervisors is a narcissistic, cold person, as well as the head chef who enjoys mentally abusing the people who work under her. As good as this job is I will never work here again as long as these people are in charge. I feel bad for everyone else who works there, the rest of the staff (and the other bosses) seem very nice. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
Consistent hours. Decent tips. Menu rotation seasonally which creates opportunity to learn. 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
24×7 micro-mamagement. No communication/flow of information.  Unfair treatment. Biased behavior. Disrespectful comments. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Moody manager, bring personal problems to work. No authority over work. Frequent changes without information. Unacceptable behavior with female employees.

Lack of organization. Painful transition from rundown legion atmosphere. Purported effort to elevate and modernize, but with no vision, no structure, a team of non engaged players who are self managed and display little to no pride in their work. Aside from the old timers who have worked here for 40 years, there is not much room for anyone to utilize their skills or develop themselves professionally with such shaky, weak leadership.

In short the place was a really well paying, good place to work although the management needs to work on being more flexible with issues pertaining to lower level work staff and help make the job less hectic and more relaxed.

Working at sarnia golf and curling club will have you doing many different tasks ranging from filling divots in fairways to cutting greens  and weed whacking around trees. The job can be very physically demanding so be ready to work.

The early morning starts can be a challenge for a lot of people, and working in all weather elements can be taxing but when you get to see all you hard work from start to finish you love it and look forward to work everyday.

Coworker’s definitely make the days a go by fast everyone always in great mood. The work isn’t hard just physically demanding. If you enjoy being outdoors and have a high attention to detail this is the place for you.

Very judgemental and rude employees. Management needs to gain more leadership skills, less talking about employees to other workers and more guidance for new workers.

Great atmosphere, love the employees here, everybody is very friendly and collaborative on the job. Learning lots of new skills as well as getting to do many exciting and innovativng things with food.
