The payment structure wasnt very fair here. You are given a certain amount of hours to finish a job and if you finish early you can keep the extra hours for yourself and go home early. If you don't finish your jobs a couple hours early you basically have to go to the shop, attend mandatory meetings and take breaks for free. Essentially piece work. 

This was great doing finishing work because you are given an exorbinant amount of time. The jobs can be done in almost half the time they give you to do them. Then you can go home early and  get paid for 8-13 hours a day. 

Meanwhile if your stuck doing rough ins here just to be able to finish on time you have to be working extremely fast and efficient. A few of the more senior guys could finish rough ins a bit early without an apprentice but it seems thats not the case for most people. There was a lot of people doing rough ins working a few hours for free per job it seems. If you fail inspection you have to go back for free and fix it. So the unpaid time working can start to add up pretty quick

But essentially the finishers had a way easier job in every aspect and got paid substantially more because of the pay structure. This didn't seem very fair to me. 

If you want to work somewhere where you get to watch less skilled people get paid way more than you to do an easier job this is the place for you

It was a great company to work for, however, there was not set hours for the day. This made this difficult for me, as I am a single father, and on the days that I had to pick my daughter up I had to take a hit on my hours. Either the journeyman I was working with didn't start until an hour after the time I would have liked to start, or there just wasn't enough work for the day.

The one thing I didn't like was they didn't pay you for an 8 hour day. They only paid for the actual time worked. Even if we had to stop at the shop in the morning, that wasn't reflected on our paycheques. As far as I'm concerned, as soon as you arrive at your place of employment, you're on the clock and should be paid accordingly. The other thing that was an issue was the low rate of pay. Not idea for a single parent at all.

Poor company kept saying it's code and when they were called out on it they could never show me in the code book. Management is stuck in the past using old school ways of doing the job. They paid piece work but the plans they gave you were garbage and had a million change orders on them contradicting each other at times and with the amount of people working in the office you would figure they can update the plans. I wouldn't recommend working here the vans are old and falling apart and if maintenance was needed you are expected to have it done on your time not getting paid. Poor tools and equipment as well.

Work environment and set up was great. The company had a huge warehouse and all materials were at the shop so you didnt have to waste time and pick up materials at a supplier. They have in house mechanics to maintenance the vehicles 

Toxic work environment.  Top leadership condescending and belittles employees.  Would be considered a bully in a school setting.  Management tries to compensate for this, but clearly the yelling gets to them.  Do not recommend the place.  Only reason to stay, is if you have a desperate need for a job.

A few areas which lead to a poor working experience. The management style wasn’t something that I could agree with personally. There was also some questionable compensation methods that didn’t align with my idea of fair.

Loved it hear. Great atmosphere. Wonderful benefits. High pay if you are highly skilled at your job. Upwards of 100k. Highly recommend. Drawbacks are cold winters and it can be stressful work 

This company will not pay you the hours you worked .
High management very toxin and unappreciative of the hard workers they have . Avoid this company .

I liked the management team I worked with but like most residential electrical companies, it comes down to speed solely.  Its required that I state how my experience was satisfactory.

Like the job. As the longer i work there the more they wanted me to do without pay benefits. I also needed a job that gave me more to grow on with electrical knowledge.
