School cafeteria

We would walk in remove our coats, jewelery, etc. put on our hairnets, then our aprons, wash our hands and begin work. every week or so our group would shift between five stations; baking, entree, side dish, cold foods (salad, sandwich), and cleaning ( dish washing ). after cooking, we would serve the food we prepared as cafeteria food for the whole school, giving us a restaurant kind of feel considering the gourmet food we made. the food wasn't free but servers did get a discount though, which was good. there were multiple teachers so there wasn't absolute chaos and i learned plenty of techniques for food preparation, storing, etc. i also learned how to work as a team in fast paced situations. the hardest part of the job was probably resisting the urge to eat the delicious food we made ha ha. the most enjoyable part was the great experience, the satisfaction of making amazing dishes, and being among friends while doing so.

working at the school cafeteria was harder than i thought it would be! it required me to work at a fast paste and i always had to push my limits to be able to serve costumers! working there taught me how to be able to work under pressure and heat. i was able to improve on my serving/cleaning speed which in my opinion was one of the best parts about this job. the hardest part of the job was working under pressure and working past your break time, because costumers always come first. most enjoyable part of the job was when you get everything done and you can finally relax and take things slow knowing its all going to be very relaxing.

To work at the same school you are attending was amazing, I loved the thought of having extra money and making it during those hours and getting off to make more! I got out of bed in the morning just because of this!  My co worker was amazing, a lovely lady with a great personality! funny too! She was easy to talk to and an excellent boss! I learned a lot from her! Serving your fellow students is kind of a challenge because the expect you to fill their plate up but being behind that counter makes you feel responsible so you do the responsible thing and that was the best part about working there. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
To help keep company clean & happy &helping people aswell . Helping to have a good customer service .

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
If things falls behind then more to do can be stressful but not much to be to stressed about at work place as try your best an move on happy 😃 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
The work environment is very neutral an multi cultured an a good place for all humans it a learning environment.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
It’s on goin but very good work it is my day is usually good 😊

a typical day at work would be we prepare for the school services, cutting vegetables, fruits, proper the kiosks for the school service, heating up the hot food station, prospering the soup, salads, specials. I learned a lot of things like how to properly cut with a french knife, paring knife, and bread knife with vegetables and fruits. the hardest part of the was to convert the recipe to other measurements. My enjoyable part of the job is to service people food and help prepare foods for senior banquetsl

I come into the cafeteria and get prepared. I start prepping. Then i will serve the students. I learned a lot about interaction and cooking while volunteering. The hardest part of my job is multitasking. the most enjoyable part of the job is interacting with the students.

Start of the lunch period you head down, wash up and prepare to serve meals. It can be pretty busy so you have to move and work quickly. But overall it's a fun area to volunteer in and you get provided a free lunch.

The job at school cafeteria was nice and comfortable. Only the salary per hour was less . Otherwise I learnt a lot of things like management, cash handling,data entries etc. The job helped me improve my management  skills.

it helped me learn lots on serving people , and learning to work with money. it helped with organization, and being responsible, as I went into a older grade i could no longer work in the cafe.

-It was a nice experience, first time I've ever worked as a cashier so it was valuable experience 
-Surrounded by people I know.
-Worth wild experience.
