Great place to start you career in finace, you learn different aspects of Online Broker business. Great for acquiring customer service experience and financial product knowledge. Also you learn how to explain complex financial transactions for trading in very very simple words so that clients can understand. In a typical day you would encounter; transfers, FX, trade, calculating margin, buying power, disputes with prices that an order was filled, change of adress, etc.

The colleagues and some managers are good

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The calls and hitting the targets and in between breaks you can take after calls

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not very good environment very dry mostly doing your own work. Culture is ok 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Taking calls weekly or monthly meetings other then that boring

A great place to work, they truly take care of their people and are completely customer focused. A typical day at work involved primarily working the phone and email for transaction-related work. The management is very supportive and accommodating. The hardest part of the job was dealing with CSRs who were trying their best to serve our customers but had a hard time giving the customer a 'no.' The most enjoyable part of the job was having exposure to the capital markets on a constant basis.

Interacting with prospects and clients face-to-face about trading and investments

I learned about the volatility of the Market and how greedy people really are.

Management made structured changes

My co-workers were driven and made the office competitive.  We worked had and played hard.

The hardest part of the job was dealing with disgruntled customers.

The most enjoyable part is that no two days were the same.

This company has changed a lot over the last ten years. I originally joined when it was E*Trade Canada. When we were acquired by Scotiabank things changed a lot. Originally it was worse, but gradually it has gotten better. The online environment and competition is changing and evolving. They need to keep up if they are going to stay relevant. Overall I did really enjoy working there. There are some great leaders to look up to.

The goal is to bring value and easy, state-of-the-art investing and online trading solutions with specialised support. Fulfil this mission through our product innovation, exceptional service, competitive commissions, easy-to-use website and powerful trading platforms.

I work with a great bunch of individuals, its definitely a very relaxed environment.

Fast paced work environment and challenging at times
I have build knowledge of on line brokerqge and how to meet clients needs by being attentive. I have learned the skill of listening and asking the appropriate questions. How to handle conflict efficiently.

Always busy and very stressful.but lots to learn .
.I learned how to manage any situation to work.
Management is very friendly and motivate the staff for their improvements. The hardest part is task.                                                                          The place is friendly environment. 
Holiday season is lot of fun. 
Heart of town lots to enjoy out of job.

Scotia iTRADE is a good organization - there are hiccups with the customer service team, given that there are ups and downs in the markets and the firm tends not to properly plan for those challenges. That being said, the team is solid and works well together.
