Inspection of plant and finished product. verifying all GMP practices are followed by all employees. Quality of product,(solids,butter fat content,brix,ph,allergen test)taste, appearance and micro testing.Management was notified of test results and any deviations found and worked with me to correct deviations.
I became familiar with CFIA andSFQ standards and steps to take to correct or report any problems. The hardest but necessary  part of the job was confronting employees not following company procedures. I enjoyed doing the required test of each product and knowing I was involved in ensuring  only quality products were shipped.

my day started by emptying the production storage area from previous day and counting and racking the product.Checked for incoming or out going trailers.
loaded or unloaded trailers as required.
Continually counting and racking product as it was made.
charged or added water to forklift batteries as needed
kept warehouse areas swept and tidy
put up ingredients to mix room as needed
kept an eye on palletizes to ensure product was piled and coded properly
some days I was overwhelmed with trucks coming and going . made for long days
enjoyed meeting and working with truck drivers from various  companies

Scotsburn had great pay, great number of hours, etc. The work conditions were generally safe, though I was injured on the job and was told not to worry about it. My co-workers were not a joy to work with or around. My supervisor was very laid back, fair, and handled himself well. The hardest part of the job was probably dealing with co-workers bull, while the most enjoyable part of the job was the relatively low-stress tasks performed.

The experience alone is remarkable. With a company of this size changing daily, you are able to grow with the company. The management seem to want to build it stronger and become more prosperous for the company which in turn for the employees. In my last position of driver. I was quite happy running the maritimes and interacting with co workers at the different locations for my deliveries.

My job starts at 4pm-12pm,Monday through Friday.

I am a manager at Scotsburn. I have learned a great deal about Marketing, safety and how a large scale production plant functions. My favorite part of my job is the people that work here. It is a very friendly atmosphere, and they are very easy to manage. I love a challenge, therefore the more there is to learn the better I work.

I enjoy working for Scotsburn it is a fast paced environment that is constantly changing.  It requires team work and cooperation from workers and management to meet the customers demands.  When first hired the speed and pace of the equipment was difficult,now it adds to a changing daily work place which I appreciate.

I enjoyed my job at Scotsburn as there was always something to do to help make the time pass.  I enjoyed the merchandising part of the job as I got to interact with customers in the stores.  I also enjoyed Sundays in the summertime as the owners of the ice cream stands would come in to pick up their orders for the stands.

Working as a machine operator at Scoysburn flared my interest in the Millwright trade, working on the production floor there were some problems i could solve by myself, and other times I would have to rely on the the Industrial mechanic. But overall a great experience.

Payed well, decent benefits package. Long hours five plus days a week. No real job advancement options, expectations of output fairly low. great job to get some experience in warehousing.
