I used to work at Secure Protections as a security guard. I did enjoy the type of job I was doing but the main thing that makes this a horrible place of employment is the management is very crooked. They are very unorginised, very toxic, very 2 faced, they constantly lie to their employees, and give a ton of special treatment to who they consider worthy and all other employees are very 
disposable.
Management always attempts to strong arm employees, and if the employee doesn't drop everything at the last sec to work they cut their shifts down to almost nothing. No room for advancment, hard time getting overtime pay after a person has already worked the overtime, bounced pay cheques over and over which screws employees bank credit up, issues getting T4s from them for tax time. Honestly I could go on and on but the main point is save your sanity, and do not work for this company!. Unless you want to be used, treated very poorly, and never know if your pay cheques will actually clear or bounce.

I enjoyed driving the cars and checking on places to make sure all was secure and in order. I learned how to use the cad system and how impotant team work is. The management team was not professional. one of the managers always took their anger out on everyone and criticized people. No one else in the management team seemed to do anything about it. My co-workers were very good. They were always there to back me up and help me when I needed help. The hardest part of my job was trying to please management. I never seemed to meet the expectations because they had so many. I really liked being in the cars and going in various places. I liked being in the cad system and being able to comummicate with my co-workers, so they can assist me and I can assist them when needed.

This company tries to rip you off through contracts. They had me work 3 weeks on training and denied me my pay because i signed a paper that said i understand i received my money somewhere in all the sheets. By far the worst security company to work for in Calgary. they will never admit their mistakes. disgusting bunch of people. Robbed me over $800 because they made a mistake and had me training for 3 weeks no pay. Ask other workers they,ve had in the past. and check the ratings on google. which i did not do before accepting a job from these people

They can't pay their employees properly. Over run their mobile drivers to the point they might as well be ghosting them. When management tells their drivers to just drive by the sites and check nothing because they stack so much on to the runs THEN they get mad at you for over time and don't want to pay you for it. they don't even want to pay you properly in the first place!!! I dont know how they still keep getting contracts. If you're looking for a company stay away from these guys!!

I worked here for 9 months as i was getting my degree - scheduling could be an issue as alot of time others would not show up for shifts and it would make it hard on the rest of us. If there were good drivers it was very good but that didn't happen often enough. It made it hard for those of us who wanted to do a good job. I blame management because they should have done something about it and been more strict.

I have worked with this company since last year, yes I agree that Management needs to improve, especially in the scheduling department. But I have found that on the whole they (management) if you as an employee are willing to make an honest effort you will be backed 100% I am very content and happy in my position at this company

What is the best part of working at the company?
Coworkers were nice and going home was the best part of every shift.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Expectation to do things that you were not hired for. Pay as little as can get away with.


What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
There is no culture, get your job done with information or tools don't have. If can't owners bully and gaslight.

Best company ever vvery good management very experienced in the industry, definally know what there doing and are vsry intuned to whats going on. Very customer focused and looks after staff. The bad reviews I assume were from past staff who got fired for not doing there job. Bad employees get canned and they look after the good employees. Very well managed company.

If you had to imagine the workplace, it’s Cinderella’s stepmother’s house. They preach professionalism on just about every breath but they’re having domestics in the office.  There’s a Constant din of yelling back and forth while people are trying to get jobs done. 

Getting paid? Sometimes it happens accurately if they pay you at all.

One should apply to this company only if he couldn't find any other job and is desperate for money.
As a Mobile Patrol, you might get more shifts, but you need to drive like a maniac, all night long, with a tight schedule to visit a great number of sites.
Overall, it's not worth it...
