Was not given a chance to shine at my full potential. They also don't take heat exhaustion seriously and will fire you if you call in sick about it. They also don't understand family emergencies aren't planned and when they happen there's usually nothing you can do about it. Was also not given my final pay cheque because of "uniforms" even though I had to return my uniform. Credit was also not given where it was due. For example I had to remove someone from an event but because of being a newbie someone else had to do it and they got the credit for finding them not me.

I passed up a higher paying job, thinking I was going to make $17 an hour like the advertisement said.  Nope, $14 an hour and come to find out NO ONE makes $17 an hour.
The new Supervisor is sexist and condescending, he spent most of his first shift on our site, nit picking how another guard was printing - not neat enough, too fast, for example.  He played with another guards hair!!!!!   He asked me, the only female, why I didn't have an office job and made it clear that no matter what, I call for back up.  
The bosses will work you as much as they can, I'm part time and work 36 hours a week!!!!!

I had the pleasure to work for this company for the past year and I can say that the experience was nothing short of great!!
Well organized, fun environment, very relaxed atmosphere.  The owner is an open door type of person and the rest of the staff is great.
The pay rate is not any higher than other security firms, but the pay cheque is always on time, which is not the same for some other firms.  No benefits would be the only negative side to working here.

when I first started with securigard Canada, I thought I knew what being a security guard was all about, but the things I am learning about the intricacies of real security work are taught and put into action here at securigard Canada. I enjoy working here, and I feel I am doing good for the community as well. the supervisor is very supportive as well as the head office. I will continue working here in the future.

The company is run poorly there is ZERO integrity here.
The owner loves to try come across as a tough guy.
This is a company that hires the guards that no one else will and it shows in the pathetic work ethic.
Pay is terrible ZERO benefits not a place you want to "gain experience ".
The use of collapsible batons at the sites by some guards is alarming.
The owner needs to drop in on his sites alot more may be able to see that his guards arent so great

I've been working with SecuriGARD Canada for 2 months now. I've gotten a lot of great on-site experience. Best part about working here is the events. They're always fun and you're never bored. I've always received my cheque the day I am to receive it. While they don't do direct deposit, they give do give you the option of mailing your cheque to you. The office staff are friendly.

they dont have direct deposite and your pay comes in 3-5 days late.
they dont understand that no one is perfect and if you make a mistake your doomed.
dont take into consideration of the weather elements 
they have a very high standard for minimum wage. 
do yourself a favor and pass this company on your job search.

You're going to get paid $14 an hour no matter what any posting says. The company is run by a guy who barely knows what goes on with his company. If they offer you a promotion to supervisor be prepared to take on every single assignment that somebody calls in sick to. If you work 60+ in a week you won't get overtime because they only pay overtimes if you work more than like 96 hours.  Stay away from this company

Securigard is an average security company. Nothing special. I'm my experience I was hired through a phone interview and then put to work right away. If looking for a career in security I'd look somewhere else but if looking for an easy way to make money this company works.

Owner will harass and follow you. One of his supervisors at Kipps always plays video games at his friends apartment. Owner has relationships with all his office. 
redicilous  iniform deposit. 
Worst company to work for. No idea how it’s still not shut down.
