What is the best part of working at the company?
 I worked in a camp situation and found the people to be like a big family … from the supervisors to my coworkers. The people were definitely the best part of working at Securiguard.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Following company protocol to a tee … there was little room for error.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
I enjoyed the culture in both the camp situation and the city environment… people were great throughout Securiguard.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
12 hour days were long shifts, so for me it was  all about preparing beforehand with plenty of sleep, food and any job related planning needed … so I could perform with a clear and focused mind.

The people were awsome for the most part in the jobs I was involved in the supervisors were fair and easy to get along with , good people skills 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
I travelled a lot for my jobs road conditions could get sketched but it went with the job 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Good I had no issues with fellow workers or supervisor and the management 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
We had a tool box meeting everyday before shift which were actually entertaining  and informative, they kept you ingaged  revieved our posting  and off to our patrol  area

I'm satisfied with my position but the company will never appreciate you for what you're willing to do to help them ie: overtime and filling in for open shifts. You will never get a raise in pay no matter how long you work for them and there is far too much nepotism for the average worker to advance . Training at first is not there they just throw you into it. Work life balance is great because I chose particular type of industry. It's not for everyone. Support from the company is not there . You are just a workhorse with no recognition. 

Would definitely recommend the company,they have  lot sites to chose at Metro Vancouver area and for those who looking for more hours to work?Thats the right spot.

A lot of things you'll learn by doing them and finding out later how wrong you were for doing it.  Publicly.

In some situations,  Instant Termination if the client found out.

So much wasn't covered in site training that it's humiliating.

That's just one or two sites. Every site has its own format, training level. 

I’ve been with securiguard for over 6 months now and I’m really happy with the company. They are very helpful at trying to accommodate you the best they can. I started part time and now have a full time position. If you work hard for them they will work hard to make you happy and it’s what a good company is about IMO. I’ll definitely suggest working for them.

Dog eat dog atmosphere. Supervisors have no respect for their guards . Guards have no respect for Supervisor. Example. Day supervisor will move a guard from his station at main gate so he can use desk and work space . Complete lack of respect for subordinate guard.

Unprofessional ethics of work and management and the work position is totally under paid and they expect too much from you paying only 16 dollars hourly and stupid static guard unifor that doesn't present you as custodian guard and the job you do it worth from 24 to 26 dollars hourly.

I would attend my job site and phone in when I arrived on site. I would do the job. I would phone to sign out. I would write my activities in my notebook.

make one feel insecure.
New people get postings over me.
some postings not even sent to me.
Last 1 night shift, I was not given an orientation on a new site (For me)
