I really enjoy working for this company and the opportunities that are given. Lots of support from foreman’s/upper management and genuinely enjoy coming into work. The only drawback I find here is the lack of help from fellow labourers, most are helpful but a lot of them only complain and will sit there till someone else does there work for them. I can say the pay is good especially for the amount of work we do. I would recommend this place to everyone except freeloaders. There are a few that have been let go for a reason and a lot kept for the right reason.

The working conditions were aweful. Working in the rain most of the time.

It’s very much focused on keeping the client happy

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
First thing is morning meeting the you get your job for the day.

The management here is poorly managed. 
There is no room here to grow, even if your willing to obtain training. 
Long hours,work/life balance is very stressful. Eat sleep work repeat.
They do not see your purpose, they will talk down to you and humiliate you like you were a child.
They will not do anything to change, if they do not like you, they will make up any excuse to get rid of you.
Pay isn’t very good.

At servco, there are no Operators. Just labourers who came here to work as operators but never put in equipment. The days are long and unmotivating, being hired to run equipment and put into labouring day in and day out. Annoyed that i was outright lied to, was promised to be put in equipment and i havent run anything at all. 

Typical day would be you planning your job,  finding all the tools and equipment needed to do said job.  All the while the client is wondering why their job isnt being done.  Management is probably the worst I have ever worked for.  Absolutely no support ; you will be wondering what it is they actually do.  Also If they dont like you they will make up some bogus claims or allegations and terminate you.  I have seen it happen!  

Inexperienced upper management, can’t support workers in the field. No maintenance program for equipment, the equipment they give you is junk and unsafe. Most brutal work environment I have ever been associated with. Would not recommend anyone to apply at ServcoCanada

Compensation is reasonable.

I feel welcomed into the company.

Everyone is friendly, approachable and willing to help. 

Servco kept me employed through the pandemic when many others lost their jobs. The vast majority of the work scope was in the smelter and some work with LNG Canada doing site service work. New tools & PPE were supplied as needed. Management was friendly. Work has slowed since the strike at RTA

Servco is welcoming and respectful of everyone who walks in. It doesn’t take long for this company to bring you in and treat you like part of the family. Sure the job can suck at times, but that goes for anywhere. Here they take care of you. Leaving this company was one of the hardest decisions I’ve had to make. 

A very good work environment with lots of good aspects to the job. Great job for entry-level operators. lots of downtime as to be expected with a site services contract. 
good teamwork and management are very respectful of the staff.
