Management is good During my time working with my security guard employer I had a positive experience overall. The company provided clear instructions regarding duties and responsibilities, ensuring that all guards were well-informed about their tasks. Training sessions were offered to improve safety awareness and emergency procedures, which helped me feel more confident in my role. My supervisors were approachable and always ready to provide guidance when needed. Scheduling was generally fair, with opportunities for overtime. The management maintained regular communication through emails and phone calls, making it easier to stay updated on assignments and policies. I also appreciated the teamwork among the staff, as everyone worked together to maintain a safe and secure environment. While some shifts were long and demanding, I found the experience valuable in developing discipline and attention to detail. Overall, I would recommend this employer to others seeking a stable security position with supportive leadership.

If you're looking for a great part time job with a great crew, give this job your resume. They're very good at making a diverse crew and do not require that you be very big or muscular. These attributes help, but given the landscape of things, size doesn't matter. Be prepared to stand for hours, but you'll be free to move your feet. 

It is very important you understand this is a part time job. Due to the need to have so many employees for scheduling reasons, you must understand that this job is meant to be a supplementary job, not a job you can rely on to pay the bills. If you're not a the party type, but good at communication you'll enjoy the opportunity to see exciting events in the area. 

I'm currently employed with them and have enjoyed my time with them.

While providing security to a outdoor concert venue in Dartmouth during the summer I sustained a serious burns to the top of my head while standing outside for an eight hour shift.  I had asked the supervisor to provide me with a security hat that you are normally provided when hired but not in my case.  The supervisor did not any hats on site so when my shift was completed the top of my head looked like a cooked lobster and I was in pain for sometime.
Now looking back I should of quit before I sustained the injury!
Personally, this was the worst experience I have had working for a security company.

Have been working with shadow for about 3 years off and on now. Awesome security company in the sense that they do the best they can with what they have to work with, always displaying top notch professionalism. Across all kinds of venues - bars, clubs, sports and events centres and anything else, there is always an easy to understand and succinctly laid out game plan for how your shift will go. Would highly recommend to anyone looking to work security or (more likely) a second job as a source of supplementary income. 

Patrolling new buildings or new events is interesting and always a learning experience. The supervisors are always there for your questions and to teach you all you need to know. My fellow guards and I  share experiences to assist each other in our work. The hardest part of the job for me is not enough hours and at times having to deal with unnecessary medical issues but doing so none the less. I enjoy every aspect of my position and hope to carry on in this line of work with ongoing training.

I worked at Shadow for just under 7 years and was a site supervisor for 4. If you're not friends with the management you won't get much advancement.  

While employed with Shadow security I sustained an extremely bad Sun Burn on the top of my head while stationed at a security position out side in the middle of summer.
I asked for a security hat and they had no security uniforms on site.  After that shift I quit.  If I knew just how bad the burn was when I got home and cooled I would have quit during the shift.
I was in pain for nearly a week and a half.

I like the job so far. The only thing concerns me is training. The supervisor keeps claiming they need more trained people but they won’t schedule training sessions. Also the communication in the office sucks. The GM won’t listen to anyone. There are supervisors offering to come in on their day offs and do training but the management doesn’t do anything. Also the changes in schedules are so last minute.

Great casual job, although there can be some weeks where hours are low but for a 2nd or 3rd job, it is really good and flexible. The manager in Moncton is a great guy and very well organized and you can tell he really enjoys his job. Overall very happy with this job and it has some really cool opportunities and a fair wage. 

Shadow Security teaches everyone with their own level. Shadow security been a really great company ever since I started. I also enjoy working for a great team. When events come up during the summer, and also other things in between. The hours are there for me to meet with my needs.
