You are driven to work hard, constantly being trained and tailored to be what the boss want you to be to make the company money. Sometimes toxic 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Full day, with 30 min break and sometimes 15, expected to be “on” and ready to work to handle all the incoming work. Be in a lot of meetings to ensure things are running smoothly but don’t always.

This was my co-op placement for school during my first semester of grade 11. A typical day consisted of designing of signs, production of signs and reception. I have worked all these jobs in this placement. The hardest part of the job was when the demand was high and we had a lot of customers at once. However, it always got done and the feeling of success at the end was a great reward. The most enjoyable part of the job was my co-workers. They were all so nice and fun to be around. Overall, my co-op placement was a fun experience and I loved working there.

I got paid for the hours I worked 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Knowing that it was going under. Never having the funds to pay for product and inventory ordered. Everyone thought they were the boss, too many people with too many opinions

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
It was quite hostile and it was allowed

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
I was the babysitter for everyone.

Small business and that too a franchisee, they never have good money to pay to their employees. Make sure they are filing your tax. I realized in March that they haven't paid my taxes to the government and they haven't filed my pension as well. Though they were deducting everything from my salary. And obviously, they didn't pay my last 2 months of salary.

Organized tasks for employees to be completed daily

Organized meetings and arranged installation dates with clients and customers  
Maintained corporate and business liaisons with clients

Reported to business owners and attended company meetings

Coworkers are amazing, family dynamics , great management, 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Commute as location is Downtown core 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Great close knit family environment 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Meeting.. and out for installs. Report to management and confirm next project

- Learned how to deal with cheap and difficult customers.
- Learned a lot about sign design, printing, working with vinyl, car wraps, materials and suppliers.
- The management was good actually the manager was an awesome person.
- Work environment and the learned techniques was of great gain.

Stay clear of the Signarama in Cochrane and any other location these owners have. Staff isn't allowed to talk above a soft whisper, they all leave the office and sit in their cars alone to eat lunch and the owner talks about employees personal situations to other employees. Complete lack of professionalism and integrity. Run don't walk from this place.

There is lots of long term potential at Richmond Signarama if you want to develop a career in the sign business.  If you work hard and promote high quality customer service the potential is awesome long term.

The owners filled with optimism.
Well-equipped studio, lack of manual skills necessary to perform services at a high level of execution.
Rejecting "graphic design orders", accepting small, but technically demanding commissions without increased charge.
