Looking back, I am glad I got out of this place. I left sometime in August of 23’ and I was straight out of trades school and after working here for 1 1/2 years I was lied to, manipulated, and treated poorly by this company. I was a welder here, I was the youngest guy there and I worked as hard as I I could everyday, even under constant threat of losing my job I stuck through it even though I did not have to, I just wanted my hours. I had always showed up atleast 30 min early even including when nobody else showed up in the winter. Never got a raise after being promised one for 8+ months. Poor management, Ended up doing boring work that far overreached what the human body is capable of. The management had to communication with the employees and all of their benefits programs are extremely basic and easily attainable elsewhere for much less commitment. Additionally I got to see how poorly some of the office workers treated us trades people, I was appalled. I am now on my way, pursuing a post secondary in a very lucrative field, and I’ll be forever grateful that I moved on. Shoutout to the coworkers at night shift (you know who you are) who made the workplace tolerable. 

The hiring process was simple and quick. The work is simple fabrication with a couple twists. My pay at the time was decent for the type of work, however most of my coworkers were underpaid for the workload and responsibilities demanded of them. During my employment the office put in a wage freeze so no raises for the year. There was routinely instances of miscommunication or just the complete lack of it in-between the office, foremans,  and the workers. This lead to mistakes and lots of rework at no fault of the fabricator. Blueprints were commonly  missing details and measurements. The work environment was stressful due to constant threat of being fired. The coworkers were amicable, most were there to just make a bit of cash and clock out so not a lot of camaraderie. The day shift blamed night shift and vice versa for mistakes made. 

Use it as a stepping stone straight out of foundation trade school but leave as quickly as you can.

The only positives I can speak of is your coworkers were generally pretty fun to work with and the work was very varied. You did all sorts of work there, including drywalling and insulating. 

Management had major anger issues and the whole culture of the company was that of reckless indifference. They would lie to your face and expect you to be grateful.

Office vs. trades conflict like I'd never seen. Trades workers were not allowed into the office for a while, even to discuss projects with drafters.

Most of the welding was done by unticketed people, with incorrect settings, incorrect sequencing and incorrect technique with no supervision or inspection. 

Things may have changed since I left, but keep your head on a swivel if you end up working here.



Toxic work environment. Extremely stressful and dangerous. I got treated terribly by management and never got to weld. I was hired as a welder and only got to do insulation/painting/grinding/cleaning. Communication isn’t good here and I got yelled at and blamed for things I didn’t do. The work is hard and you’re expected to kill your body. Guys smoke in the shop. They paint in the shop while you’re welding, they sand blast in the shop while you’re in there. Don’t recommend this place. You’re expected to be on buildings with no fall arrest. New owners don’t hold old managers accountable. 

Management was always bad talking eachother to the employees. If you needed questions answered you would get different answers from anyone you went to. Drawings are poorly planned. Continuous promises and lies of wage negotiations. Employees left in dark while company stopped ordering materials and consumables (bankrupt?) Leaving employes with genuinely no work. 

If you value your work life balance and self dignity and respect do not work here. Revolving door and managers should be locked up. Complete waist of time. When it's time to let you go which happens to everyone, they terminate your position so they can hire new employees so you get hit from behind hard. Greasy companies!

Would not recommend working here. Super mismanaged and toxic work environment. I worked in the electrical department and there pay rate for journeyman are below average. Lots of days of sitting around and redoing work.

It was a good place when I started and it went in the bucket, us as shop workers were left in the dark of what was happening with the company for 5 months, no purchasing of material or consumables to complete the jobs and tasks at hand.

If you wana get payed sheesh wage and not learn a single thing this is the perfect place for you. They never have material never have proper information the boss is way too picky on how u do ur job

Colleuges are great, although ownership of company is questionable.

It was a good challenge to wotk with diverse type of people. People are good to me if I excercise my good character.
