Working at Simard Transport was a highly rewarding experience that played a significant role in shaping my professional journey. The company maintains a strong reputation in the logistics and transportation industry, and I was proud to be part of a team that upheld high standards of accuracy, efficiency, and customer service. The work environment was positive, collaborative, and supportive—my colleagues and supervisors were always willing to share their knowledge and offer guidance whenever needed. I appreciated the structured training, clear communication, and opportunities to take on responsibilities that helped me grow both personally and professionally. I had the chance to improve my skills in accounts payable, invoice processing, and vendor management, while also learning the importance of teamwork and attention to detail. Simard Transport provided a professional atmosphere where hard work was recognized, and I’m truly grateful for the experience and the many things I learned during my time there.

Work is good. Co-workers are nice to each other but Big Bosses and Management NEVER listens to small employees or new ideas or meet people in person. No appreciation, No rewards. Just same lines all the time "WE are working on this; will definitely think about you" Think when??? 

Double standards when it comes to treating employees. (Vancouver Branch) not sure about other side. Just keeping 3-4 people happy so that show keeps on running as turn around rate is very high. (That's not right way of doing business)

Overall, NO GROWTH. You end up working over time to make what you want to. (which is temporary as OT is not guaranteed)

Due to wrong approach; they have lost too much business in last few years. Hope they recover quick.

Overall; I'll recommend that if you want to Grow; then do not join this company. Growth happens only when many people leave and to save rest; those left one's are promoted.

What is the best part of working at the company?
There is no benefit to working for the company. It is a low paying company. It does not matter what position you are in there is no support. One of the managers is the most horrendous awful condescending negative rude person I’ve ever had to work with.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
The most stressful part of working for this company was our general manager and our customer service manager

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Extremely stressful, 95% of the employees dread going to work every day

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Extremely busy you’re always being asked to do things that are not part of your job. You’re typically either being called out in an email or yelled at or spoken to you in a rude manner by one of the managers.

worked there for few weeks as class 3 driver , 
they gave me the worst truck ever, very old , garbage from inside and outside, very bad condition , the tailgate is dented you can't get your jigger out without breaking your back trying to pull , i asked for another truck they gave me another with the same condition even worse , their warehouse forklift drivers are very stupid and rude, they put the loads in the wrong order everytime ,and when you deliver to them they go by connections they'll leave you waiting for hours to empty your truck serving others who came after you just because they are friends, they deliver for dollarama with very heavy pallets up high to the top you have to use the tailgate with a manual jigger with a bad truck good luck , there are much better companies and they pay the same so nope .

I've been with Simtran for over two years and have seen many changes along the way. Some for the better some for the worse in my opinion. Overall the company is a great place to work. The environment is young, competitive, and fast paced. Training is excellent and the sales team is growing extremely fast so advancement opportunities look good at the moment. Management is good and will take time to make sure their people succeed. It's nice to be treated like an adult and a true investment to a company. The only issue I have at the moment is the lack of transparency with quotas at times. I guess that's the way it goes in any large transport companies. It would be nice to have some more analytics or data about how quotas are formulated even if it is just a reflection of a large company goal for the quarter. Overall I would recommend this workplace to others.

Simard as a national/international company honestly surprises me. They are single handedly the worst run logistics company I have ever bared witness to. The conditions at the Mississauga location especially is disgusting as the management does not care to supply employees with proper and efficient cleaning tools. On top of that, there is a serious lack in organization. Things get lost, employees are stuck looking for items to ship out, and drivers are wasting time waiting for their cargo etc. It is just a mess.

Toxic workplace, bad unhelpful management, Punjabi favouritism and union undermining. Easy job, terrible drivers. Showing up felt unwelcome and unseen simultaneously. The drivers are union and the punjabis have their own unofficial union they work together on, and shoulder out drivers who don't fit their criteria. The management doesn't care about people or the effects of their apathy, they just care about the numbers so they can keep their own jobs. 

What is the best part of working at the company?
If you do you job right and are diligent ,the management team won't bother you ,and will reward youwith an increase fairly quickly.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Everything is time sensitive, and must be accurate at all time.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Like anywhere else ,you have some coworkers tgat are bad apple,but for the most part it's good.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
For me ,it was 6 to 11 ,short hours , but demanding.

Mines was an experience that taught me a lot about dealing with cargo and people. The downside to this is that you are not trained, but more so thrown into the fire. The people there for the most part do not train well at all, and job advancement is a nonexistent thing.  If you are able to learn for yourself, you can survive. The biggest and greatest challenge is dealing with coworkers, the work is definitely not difficult at all. Management is 50 - 50 is terms of helpfulness. The pay is definitely not worth the amount of work put on any position there.

Very unhealthy environment to work in, the coworkers make it possible to get through the day, but management is absolutely horrid to work for and yes no raises everrrrr... the management keeps promising and lying about giving raises but they never do. And times they have their favourites and they quietly give raises to those and tell them to lie as the company has been in losses for years 🙄
