I’ve been working at SITURA Inc. for some time now, and it’s a unique place to build a career in the construction materials industry. We're a small team based in Toronto, focused on manufacturing custom-engineered waterproof expansion joint systems like RedLINE®, FlamLINE®, and AquaLINE®. The work is technically challenging and rewarding, especially knowing our products are used in major infrastructure projects. The company values sustainability—we're ISO 9001 certified and even publish Environmental Product Declarations, which shows real commitment to environmental standards. I appreciate the flexible work culture, including a four-day work week, and the opportunity to be part of a close-knit, innovative team. That said, like many small companies, there are challenges—limited career growth, some outdated systems, and compensation that could be more competitive. Still, if you're looking to be hands-on, learn a lot, and contribute to meaningful projects, SITURA offers a solid and supportive environment.

The owner of the company is a great guy and tries to bring a positive work atmosphere. The four day work schedule was an interesting concept, but I think that caused more delays in project completion. 
The work environment was chaotic and you never know when you'll be in trouble. I worked in the design team and the sales guys watched over us, which caused a lot of miss information and a lot of scolding from them. They asked like managers to us, but really had no right to be one. The work day would start at 9am, but the sales rep would close the door on you if you weren't there by 8:30am at his start time.  There was also a lot of fear put into us, not to ask the boss questions or to call him, so you were left working blind for the most part. 

The pay was very good to start. Owner was generous. Sales team is the worst.

The great things about the company - fair compensation, great benefits, nice people, stylish and comfortable office, snacks, amazing company's lunches, three weeks paid vacation.
Cons: so much stress, you never know when you can get in a "hot chair" for an unknown reason... lack of communication with management.

No proper training as most of the team is new and have no experience. I spent most of my time translating instead of drafting. Not much to learn or grow in the company since company runs like if it is the 80's, the company managers has no decent education background and are constantly yelling, old softwares, old marketing  strategies,  high turn overs!
