A typical day at work would require me to fill drinks up, cook (burgers, fries, chicken fingers, etc), serve people, clean the kitchen, work the cashier. I learned a lot such as how to work a cash register, how to make certain foods within the work place and how to work certain machines. My management was great all my supervisors were fun, friendly, and always sensible to talk to and ask for help. The co-workers were great as well everyone who i worked with tried there best to help me out seeing as i was a new employee and they always found a way to make work fun. The hardest part of the job would probably when a big rush comes in and your really pressured to get food out of the kitchen as fast as possible to hungry customers. The most enjoyable part of the job was the people i met and worked with and making the food.

A typical day at work would be very enjoyable but difficult. You were always busy and you were always doing/learning new things. The management was helpful but sometimes difficult because they sometimes gave you a hard time and we not always very nice, but there were too many pros to let it bother you. I learned safety while in a workplace, how to deal with customers and certain situations, and better use teamwork skills. Co-workers were very helpful and were always there. They gave you help when you needed it and would walk you through things you didn't understand. The hardest part of the job was remembering all of the things you learned and putting it all together to make the environment enjoyable. The most enjoyable part of the job was working with people you liked to be with and doing something you enjoyed and thought was fun.

A typical day at work is meeting several people in a day, providing step by step instructions of basic snowboarding.  I learned how to improve my own snowboarding as well as others and improve my communication skills within large groups.  Organizing groups of students worked well when paying attention to the way the stations were utilized.  My co-workers were very friendly and worked efficiently as a team as well as individually when assigned specific tasks.  Overall the hardest part of the job is maintaining patience for the children who need improvement on their listening skills.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the laughter in the children when having a good time learning a new skill.

Organizing rental equipment, to ensure safety for customers throughout the day.  Setting equipment to the customer based on individual preferences and by Snow Valley training.  Performing cash and credit card transactions as well as counting tills at the end of the cashier's shift.  For concerns on management, I believe there should be a stronger communication built between fellow managers/supervisors on all matters occurring in the workplace.
What I've learned from Snow Valley is Customer Service knowledge in the workplace, as it has helped me in all aspects of my life on how to approach and treat others in a variety of situations.

Never a dull moment! Co-workers are great! Fun and friendly environment , would do it again next season no problem. Cheers to this one!

A lot of training but once your done it’s just like butter!

Fantastic work environment and everyone always seem happy to be there .

The enviroment, between staff, supervisors and customers. It's welcoming, everyone is friendly and supportive of eachother. It's a great place to work and a great team to be a part of.

Preparing appropriately for the shifts in weather

Comfortable, supportive, fast paced.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Preparing for open, working different positions, supporting customers and closing up.

I would go into work, if needed to help prep food i would do that, Just before opening for the day, I would open the cash area and prepare the area for customers.  When slow at the cash, i stocked shelves and replenished snacks, and what needed to be done.  It has always been a very cheerful place to work and supervisors and management  are very approachable.  The most enjoyable part of the job was there always being something to do, you always feel like you make a difference.

The staff that are currently in the guest services department as part time workers are mostly teens. This is a good environment if you are a young worker and looking to have a good first job, without the pressure that can come with working alongside adults in different types of workplaces. This job has a lot of perks and is very simple yet gives you lots of experience with people of all ages, cleaning, handling money, and more.

This job requires that you are fun and energetic, a typical day is tiring but rewarding. Management for the most part was understanding, and the staff are enjoyable and fun to be around. Lot's of young workers, mostly all of them are in high school. Teaches you to operate with lifts and be social and obtain great customer service while on the job. Overall such a lovely environment to work in.

I worked at Snow Valley for 1 season in Kids Village and I loved it so much. The hours were amazing, breaks were paid, employees and managers were so nice to me (not just in my department either). I got great discounts on food, rentals, tickets. I made so many friends while I was there and working was actually very fun, contrary to other jobs I have had in the past. And even before I started working there it was an overall amazing experience! :))
