My experience at Skyservice was mostly positive. The team environment felt close-knit, and management maintained good communication about company goals and performance, which contributed to a sense of shared direction. Compensation and benefits were competitive, and during routine operations, the workplace culture was supportive and focused on safety.

That said, during periods of high demand, certain structural issues became more apparent. Work was often divided in a way that concentrated pressure on specific individuals or roles, which occasionally led to errors or safety concerns. While these were typically approached as learning opportunities, there was a tendency for accountability to fall on individuals rather than prompting broader process improvements.

In some cases, experience and capability were not fully recognized, and the added pressure on key team members contributed to dissatisfaction. While not overt, these patterns created a work environment that could feel unsustainable during peak periods.

Overall, Skyservice offers valuable experience in the aviation field, but prospective employees should be mindful that the work culture can vary depending on workload and internal dynamics.

I've never been happier or felt more sense of family than working here. There are more pros than cons. The job itself is very stressful at times because of extreme weather, or having to multitask many different things in a very short time, and the responsibility of manoeuvering multi million dollar aircraft in a precise manor (towing). There is a lot of training involved and takes a very long time to learn the job if you're willing to put in the effort, and a lot of recurrent training. Everything is a deadline so don't expect scheduled breaks or being able to finish lunch all the time, BUT, you have a team of family that will help you, and you'll have a great time most days. Everyone is very close. You see A LOT of interesting aircraft and meet some really cool people. There is encouragement to advance into other fields within the industry. Management "walks the walk" since they have done the job and often will assist Line crew if need be on the ramp. I have never been happier. No place is perfect, but this is the closest I've ever been to it in 30 years of being in the workforce. 

Working in the aviation world is a challenging but exciting place. You learn something new everyday. Talking with aircraft coordinators, pilots and aircraft mechanics. Making sure the technical manuals are current and updated. I enjoy getting the information to the people correctly and in a timely manner. always a pleasure to work with people who are a pleasure to work with!

Management wants to make a first class company, but they treat their employees like second class citizens, in a third world environment. Why would they spend thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours in systems that don’t work, when the employees and their suggestions for improvement go unheard and ignored?!

Amazing work environment, really good people, very good management. Decent pay and benefits and five stars for job satisfaction. The job might not be easy but it is rewarding and gives you a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day. 

A typical is is very relaxed and fun to work, people are hard working and love what they do. It is a pleasure and to work there.The pay is very good, and the most enjoyable part of the job is meeting new people everyday.

I enjoy a friendly dytnamic work environment, where i am appreciated and supported by colleagues and managers alike.
We are encouraged to bring forth issues and they are resolved in a collaborative non-punitive way.

Great learning platform.
Small company mentality which allows you to grow and learn as much as you want.
Great group of people.

I was happy with this employer at the beginning of my employment, but came to find that there was no room for job advancement. Had there been room for advancement, I may have stayed.
