Snow Valley Resort

The position I held at snow valley required a very expensive training course and yearly dues to be paid, though this only resulted in a 75 cent increase over minimum wage. Schedule is very fluid and an 8 hour scheduled shift often ends after 5 or 6 hours with no option to work longer. Management has a small group of employees that are treated much better than anyone else. After 4 years of seasonal employment I doubt my manager even knows my name. I have worked both in a part time and full time capacity and actually made more money as a part time employee believe it or not. The job is easy and lots of fun if you like meeting new people but management and salary is sub par. 

(Tubing dept) This is a family resort, which extends to it's employees.  Sometimes the work can be challenging, especially at the beginning of the season, but it feels amazing when it's accomplished.  Seeing guests enjoy their day is great.  Management is the best - they are understanding, effective and absolutely amazing at what they do.  I never want to leave!

Management is very laid back and allows for employees to not feel watched at all times. As well, the benefits are excellent considering it is a minimum wage job: free ski pass, 50% off food, free pass for a friend once a week, discounts on merchandise, as well as many fun events. The only disadvantage of this job is the cold, as well as the fact that it can be very boring at times.

Great job to learn some new people skills at as well as collaborating with others to work faster and get as much done as possible in a day so that customers will appreciate fast service and return.  Management however, specifically Selina, are not the nicest people to work under.

I've been at Snow Valley for 3 seasons, going on 4 hopefully this winter. I've loved every single season. The work is great, the people are fantastic, the benefits are great and I wouldn't change it for the world. It's great to work here when you're in high school as it's a set schedule.

Decent job, fun and can make new friends. The pay is low but the free pass and the food discounts pretty sweet. Working in the adventure learning center can go great or not so great. There were a lot of times where they were overbooked and understaffed.

If your new there just expect to be froze out by the people who have been there several years they are often favoured even if you work harder than the others standing around...

Great place to instruct young kids. Hill and ski school management well suited for teaching and fostering the love for skiing. Flexible scheduling with an easy to use app.

Productive, fast-pace, and fun place to work for students. Supervisors are very nice and management treats you well. They are also very accommodating!
