when i first started it was cool, people were nice and management was patient with the new people. but there's a constant rotating door of staff because management does not understand the fundamentals of how to treat someone right. instead of asking themselves the question on why we lose good people they can only point the finger and place the blame back on you and give you written/verbal warnings. you're expected to put in extra work and effort but it will never be reciprocated, you are then unappreciated because there's hardly incentives to keep you motivated, and the only thing HR mentions is that we have quarterly meals and upsell money, because that's apparently enough according to HR. you'll also be very unheard because as many times you complain and tell management of the different issues it's all one ear in and out the other. if you want to work for this company you'll definitely learn the importance of what NOT to do when you become a manager.

The money was fantastic during summer/winterlicious but then times get rough when the seasons start to slow down. The management wasn't the greatest and did not look after the well being of the employees. I really enjoyed the other employees I worked with but unfortunately they had to downsize hours and a few of us had to find other places to work. Not very stable.

The Soho used to be a good place to work but new management has ruined all of that. DO NOT apply here unless you enjoy being micromanaged on every single thing you say or do. I wish them all the best but current management in the cafe and kitchen sectors (as well as others) will cause this place to continue to have revolving door staff.

It was an extraordinary experience for my professional life because it was related to my Hospitality program and also for my personal life because I met excellent staff and friendly guest at the Soho Hotel.

A fun place a safe place to work. At the start of shift you smile until end of shift. The more you are busy the fast the time Will pass by.
Well Organize , co workers are friendly. It's nice to work there.
It's like we are long time friends in there.

Especially housekeeping management are racist and not professional at all. The hotel doesn’t not give you any benefits and manager doesn’t approve your day off whether you have such a important reason

worked as such carpentry, drywall patching and installing, painting, minor electrical repair, troubleshooting and repairing plumbing

the hotel is located in the downtown of Toronto with convenient parking. Due to location it's inconvenient to drive a car to work. The company culture and the team is very professional.

Productive and fun place to work, reinforce my knowledge on the field and acquire different skills from my mentors and the people working in that place.

Location is great. Product is great. People working are amazing and very knowledgeable. Our chef concierge is the best! 

You get to meet different people that varies from business to leisure guests.
