Typical day to day at South Country village involves learning new skills weather id be about the amazing residents that resides there or about the awesome co-workers who teach you different Technics and skills. I learn to be a team player, patient and i learn how to manage my time wisely in order to execute my duties effortlessly keeping things running smother. The work place is diverse, everyone is welcomed and treated the same. I currently hold a night position so i the hardest part of the job would be trying to stay awake the entire night but it does get easier as time goes. The most enjoyable job is going home knowing that you gave your best and provided an excellent to care to your residents, they are the main focus of the jobs and it makes me happy when i provided the care that is needed for each resident for overall health and well being. I do enjoy working at south country village and it has given the most enjoyable and unforgettable experience.

A typical day at South Country Village was always busy but fulfilling. I learned a great deal about teamwork, problem-solving, and the importance of a supportive work environment. Management was consistently supportive, fostering a positive workplace culture where everyone felt valued. The residents are nice and wonderful, which made the job even more enjoyable. The most enjoyable part was the camaraderie with my colleagues and the sense of making a real difference in people's lives.

Work was constantly busy, and taught me many skills that I use every day. Co-workers were excellent to work with, and everyone got along very well. Hardest part of the day was during winter seasons were snow removal was all an all day process, for multiple days at times. Most enjoyable part of the job was knowing how much the residents appreciated what we did.

This is a great facility to work at. I really enjoy the atmosphere and employees make it a great place to work as well. They have flexible work scheduals as well and plenty of employees to help with the work load. Great nurses as well who are always willing to help when needed and are always offering up their help.

Super cool place to work very friendly atmosphere all staff are always there to support and help, management are always there to hear our concern it was super sad to leave the job because of family matters. 

I would recommend anyone who wish to work will be very happy and are lucky to have that opportunity.

South Country was good but I found the night.shifts hard as I have kids so sometimes would go 80 hours with no sleep. I was not impressed that when my end of temporary placement came.early no one told me.

Staff and management were both great to work with and for. Hours were consistent until union strike. Good benefits

The only reason I left was my mom passed away and at that point i found it very hard to work with the elderly because i was still grieving from my moms sudden passing

The place is one of the oldest retirement homes around. Hours are good, pay is a normal rate, work  evenings as it’s less catty. Day shift is made up of people who have been there 20+ years and it shows.

I had the opportunity to do my practicum here and it was amazing and very informative. Everyone that I had the chance to work with was very nice and willing to help me in any way necessary.
