I was offered an internship at the SCPCN in the Time to Talk program as a therapist. As a student, the agency offered a very positive learning environment where I was well-supported by experienced supervisors. I was provided with every opportunity to develop advanced clinical skills and find my therapeutic style. The agency offered flexibility, autonomy, and advanced learning opportunities, as well as a strong team that provided support, knowledge, and supervision. 

low morale and inadequate management. This is evidenced by poorly executed program decisions and not being responsive to requests and needs of staff to improve performance and patient outcomes. Leadership is insensitive to signs of burnout/overwork which leads to a high turnover rate. With the right leadership, this program has the potential to offer excellent patient care and be an employer of choice.

Hard work, above and beyond work performance and dedication is appreciated and valued by program team members only.  Honest leadership reevaluation would be advantageous to the success of this organization.

They struggle with how to manage people and performance.  It’s a shame because on paper they’re fantastic but in practice they could never execute what they say they wanted and therefore are not ready for change.

Horrendous management and leadership. Poor training, very little support for the new hires, and there was no structuring of our roles. Management here was by far the worst I’ve ever encountered in any other agency.
