It is a very good starter job if you would like to work in an office and still want to help customers. Most customers are very nice, you will get the one who likes to freak out over nothing. You do have to deny people and sometimes people will also freak out. You get called very nasty names. People pull the "race card" saying you only denied my because ..... but its like no i denied you because you have no income at all coming in so we cant loan you anything if you dont make anything ?  You do have to have some what of thick skin to work here. Take nothing to heart you jsut always have to think people are only upset because money, you would be upset too if you really needed the money and turns out you cant get it.  Its alot of calling when it becomes wedneday/thur/ friday or CPP or CTB days.  The offices are usually small in staff so theres no room for calling in sick usually or anything. You do bond with the other workers and get to know them like family. My manager is very nice and understanging if something comes up . You learn alot about the loan industry adn banking and such. But i very much enjoyed my experience working there.  You can make bonuses there too if you meet goals! Plus upper management is super nice anf friendly when you have a question, and they try to make everything fun and nice when a new update comes out or a quiz. They have monthly activities too!  Get benefits and holiday pay too.

I have worked in various locations and in different positions over my time with this company and I continue to enjoy my job.
I appreciate the Work Life Balance that affords me to help my business succeed without being at the detriment of my family.
Training is On-Site and taken very seriously. 
I have also proudly seen members of my Team move into different positions and found great success in their promotions.
The hardest part of my job is balancing getting to know my customers and getting my administrative work completed. We have some of the greatest customers, from all walks of life. 

Speedy cash is a great company to work for! Just like any other job, you have your days, but the team of people employed in the company work hard to ensure you want to come to work every day. 
I learn something new every day, and there is always room for advancement. Whether you want to stay in your home town, or travel to another province, you have the options. 
There are many bonuses to working here! You get a paid day off for your birthday, monthly incentives if you meet your goals, lunch is bought once a month to show employees their appreciation, and an annual fun day, as well as great benefits. 
I have learned a lot about myself while working here, and am excited to learn more about myself and the company in the coming years!

Very poor management, lots of gossip and very young/immature staff. 
Management is not understanding, and unable to help when needed due to lack of training. You work alone on Saturdays, and it is a very busy place on Saturdays, so you do not get to take your breaks. Pay is not fair for your workload, and no chance for a wage increase until your 1 year evaluation. It truly is not a good place to work, just the immaturity of the manager and the other staff make it unbearable at times. 
(During the covid-19 pandemic, a staff member was allowed to come to work sick, he was coughing all over the office and would joke around that he was, and I quote, "spreading the coronavirus".)

Ive had worse jobs, speedy cash can be enjoyable, however, CSRs are very underpaid for the work they are asked to do. My biggest complaint is that when you get stuck your not allowed to call anyone To ask for help. But you also can't leave the store if everything isn't matching and closed out properly, I've sat there for hours because my cash was slightly off and I couldn't get ahold of anyone to help, then when I finally did, I got in trouble the next day for contacting someone I wasn't supposed to contact
 Lastly, there is absolutely no loyalty to employees.
Upper management treats CSRs like peasants.

Worked at this job for a couple years, supposed to be annual raises but management refused to schedule a meeting for me. Kept asking employees to come earlier and earlier to work saying you had to prepare (took 5 minutes, kept pushing for half an hour early unpaid work). Wanted you to do additional work unpaid if you couldn't get all your work done, extremely stressful for very little pay. Lots of gossip. Encouraged employees to work through their lunch breaks and if you didn't work through them, asked why you were behind the ones that did.

Family orientated company, you never feel like a number with them.  Very open to new ideas from the staff suggestions.  Open door policy, staff can express themselves openly with out repercussions of expressing your feels and/or concerns.  As Branch Manager sometimes it is hard to balance home life and work life, for you are responsible for ensuring the Branch you are working at runs smoothly, and extra hours are needed when your down staff do to sickness etc.  But this most common part of the job as a Branch Manager.   Great Opportunities for transfer, for I started in Yorkton, and now am located in Regina Branch. 

On a day to day basis you spend almost your whole day on the phone and dealing with customers with financial problems/concerns. Management can be difficult at times, you have to be able to figure a lot of things out on your own or depend on your co-workers to help you if you are stuck. The hardest part of the job is having to work by yourself fairly often. In this type of industry, there should always be more than one person there at a time, but for the most part, you are almost always by yourself.

I love working for Speedy Cash. I have been here for 3 years and have become the manager. I find everyone is always so willing to help when you need it(their is always someone you can reach out to) and always open to my suggestions. When interacting with my manager or Head Office I feel more like we are all on the same level compared to them being the higher ups. Incentives are great, get your birthday off paid and they treat the staff to a free lunch every month! 

There is no actual support within the company. Asking for help will end in ridiculous assumptions and untrue accusations. This creates a toxic work environment. 
You cannot grow within the company. Your position is as high as you'll go. 
No raises. Bonuses are based on everyone's performance; not just your own hard work and tears. 
No recognition for my years of hard work.
