What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Department heads/managers of all departments looking for nothing but problems. Place is poorly managed at all levels of management. More emphasis by management is based on protocols procedures practises rules regulations then doing the job as it should be. Whole resort is in very poor condition and run down. Management is very cheap/will not spend money to upgrade. Thus resulting in  Poor Pay as well. Poor and run down staff Housing.  

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Busy and disorganized.  One person is expected to do the work of several people. Other disorganized departments make all others disorganized and at times have to rush and hurry to make sure guests are taken care of properly which never happens

i was working at the spirit ridge resort as a food and beverage service team member for the last summer season and it became one of my favourite place to work with . the co-workers are really friendly and supportive . learned a lot about hospitality industry throughout the season and made good personal connections with the co-workers as well as with the guest. i am looking forward to work with this property next season too!!!

Worked the season as bellperson and had a blast. The summer months are incredibly busy and the climate and vibe of the town make it obvious why; great weather and laid back atmosphere. All the staff got along very well and it would be hard not to fit in. I've heard they're working hard on improving their resort so I'll certainly consider heading back!

I was a fun place to work and was kind of hard but mostly easy. The only thing I hated was they you would have to take care of bugs before people started coming to the pool

Beautiful place , very thoughtful and proactive management - many regulars and long term guests that you build great relationships with. 
Some long term employees so shows you it is a good solid company. Staff housing provided all over town and they try to make the accommodations as comfortable as possible. 

I believe I said it all. Don't expect anyone looking after you. They will pretend they care about you while they need you. The only expectation they have is for you to leave your life at work while being paid pennies for your efforts. Be extra cautious with the Director of Operations. 

Lovely resort in the okanagan plagued by poor managment. small core group of staff held the place together while managment constantly demanded more. summer season was hectic and compensation was poor

I liked how the resort was based on Indian culture and how management at that time was fair with dividing the work fairly.
Wasn't fun with the dead lines of having little time having the rooms available on weekends.

I do recommend 100% not to work at this place, very poor management, load of work, poor wages, disgusting staff housing, if you speak up about problems at work, you will be fired. 

I do not recommend working for Spirit Ridge Hotel. They have extremely poor management, an unorganized work environment and low moral. The wages are very low and the work load is large.
