This is my experience working here. Most people are really really nice! Very respectful and caring. RRSP match is a good benefit and we get good insurance. 

From what I have observed. Management is very quick to conclusions. Once you get on the bad side of the higher ups you're pretty much done for. They will find every excuse to be mad at you. Bad communication between departments. Some workers with seniority complain for no reason, and they get everything handed to them while others get nothing even though they are great workers. Some directors are quick to anger. Pay isn't great especially for how remote it is.

Being told we're not allowed to take many days off during the holidays because it's "unfair to production workers" is ridiculous.

All things considered, there are a lot worse jobs out there but this place needs some work.

A typical day at work involves following production schedules, handling equipment, and ensuring quality standards are met. I learned a lot about food safety practices, Management is generally supportive and provides clear instructions, though sometimes communication can be improved during busy shifts. The workplace culture is team-oriented, and coworkers are helpful and cooperative. The hardest part of the job is handling repetitive tasks and standing for long hours. The most enjoyable part is gaining hands-on experience, working with a good team, and seeing the final product meet quality standards.

A typical day for a driver is an early start (2am - 4am ), doing your truck inspection, load the truck and leave for deliveries.

Their Hiring manager is great at their job, super kind woman, from our interview process to starting my first day she was very helpful, kept in constant communication, they even offer for you to do a Trial day before getting hired to see if you’ll enjoy the work. I do enjoy working at St-Albert Cheese because you are treated like Family, from Staff to Management. Everyone is always smiley, kind, and willing to help you no matter the issue.

Dealing with customers, they appreciated good food

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Food prepping, when the youn ger staff would wait for the next customer.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Not open minded, if you don't speak French, you don't fit in!

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Open restaurant 
Food prep
Closing restaurant 
Cleaning of kitchen before end of shift.

I felt welcomed to the company from the get go. I work with amazing people I now call friends. My boss is very encouraging and understanding. I feel valued, well paid. It's an enjoyable work place. The employees are friendly.

Every worker here respects one another and helps each other which makes a very nice work environment. 

Management is easy to approach as well and is willing to help you as long as it is within their limits.

Great place to work with great people. I love the company culture at St-Albert. St-Albert is a great local company to work for in Eastern Ontario. I am really excited about working here and looking forward to a long career with the company.

I have enjoyed every minute of my time at St-Albert and consider it an honour and a privilege to have been a part of the team that has helped it rise from the ashes and become the well respected industry player that it is.

Their HR staff are quick to process applications and conduct smooth and straightforward interviews. The work environment focuses around team work and the people there are fantastic.

Enjoyed the shift work of 12 hrs. More flexibility with family obligations. Learned the food safety and protocols/procedures. Learned being a machine operator. The hardest part of the job was pleasing all management levels. Contradictions at time.
