St. Francis Table

On a regular day we start out with a good amount of people and around thirty minutes after opening we are in full swing. I learned how to operate in a fast paced environment and to work with people efficiently and effectively. Management was absolutely impeccable, always making sure everyone was doing okay and helping out wherever they could. The hardest part of the job would have had to be dealing with some workers who were not completely focused on work. The most enjoyable part of the job would most definitely be the clean up after a long day as there would be music playing and everyone would be jovial whilst simultaneously cleaning.

A typical day consists of serving meals for the homeless, dish washing, wiping tables and mopping floors. I learned valuable things like being generous and lending a hand to the ones in need. The management was great and welcoming. The workplace culture was also great and productive. Hardest part of the job is whenever there are lots of customers coming in because it becomes very fast-paced. Lastly, the most enjoyable part of the job was mopping floors and wiping tables.

A great place. I have volunteered here twice in the past two years. I enjoy it every time I go and the environment is a great place to learn. The main job of the St. Francis Table is to serve as a waiter to the homeless as they walk in. Here I got to communicate with many of the homeless people and I learned a lot about their past and everyday struggles just from talking to them. It was a life changing experience and I would return again.

The customers and co workers were gentle and understanding and required for an individual to be kind and respectful. In addition it made you take appreciation in your work. CO-workers were always cooperative and helpful. Hardest part is the preparation of food, while the best part is seeing the satisfaction on the faces of the customers.

I have volunteered at this establishment for a couple of years now. I was given the opportunity by my church, and am very grateful for this. St. Francis Table has provided me with excellent customer experience, and taught me to work alongside my peers.

This was just volunteer work, i enjoyed it because it did help with my customer service experience. I personally wish i could go back because it was positive on my life, the environment was amazing and i really enjoyed it

After school people who signed up would take a bus to the workplace to help the elderly and less fortunate by serving food, drink, and conversation, everyone was nice and supportive and it was a kind environment.

The staff work coherently to do their best to provide everything they can for the customers. The relationships they build as employees goes a long way in the individual's lives. Everyone is treated as a regular and familiarity is a major key of an effective work environment.

it was a great place to be. they were nice always nice and gave good corrections. I like the effort they put into team work. I learnt how to multi-task and be more creative. It is a really diverse work environment.
