It used to be a thriving upbeat and fun place to work.  They are undergoing restructuring, now everyone walks around on eggshells for fear for their job.

Upper management operates in a bubble with very little communication or transparency for what is going on in the company.  They like to use trendy corporate jargon to pretend they are giving "clarity of vision".

New operations manager is a kid that can't control his emotions, if he doesn't like you you're done.  It's like highschool with all the preferential treatment and cliques.

I would stay away from this company under its current management

What is the best part of working at the company?
They have the tools to tackle the snow during  and after snowing. Excellent 

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
It is just the shifts time,sometimes in the midnight, The shifts  is called as it snows. 

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Excellent, conducive and encouraging 

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
Conducive, sometimes weather may not be friendly and their is more break  as  needed

I have worked for their office in Lasalle for 3 seasons now and couting... they offred me good support to learn the landscape and snow jobs. 
Managment staff team listens to your peronnal needs and are offering training and safe, respectful atmosphere.
Lots of social life all year round.
Possibility to work both part time and ful time depening on want you want. 

They have too many contracts and people are always leaving in the middle of the season, so you end up doing double the work until they hire someone else, which can take a while. Even then, they still expect you to finish everything on time like you had a full team. On top of that, when they have special events, they make you stay late and rush to get things done without enough staff, so expect 12-hour shifts in the sun, rain, or the cold at the start of winter.

Once the employment contract has been signed, Strathmore employees receive training, and what's really important is that Strathmore recognizes the employee's experience and guides them to achieve their goals and aspirations in their career field.

They are a good team, very supportive. I liked the people working here. However this job is not for me. I live far away and require to take public transportation, and the shift hours are very unpredictable and badly scheduled.

I worked there for a few summers and loved my crew. The pay is great and they reward you for your efforts! They've got parties every summer where they recognize the employees. Management enforces positive values and stick to them. 

Fun place to work but a unorganized company and people suddenly get fired for no apparent reason. If you don’t mind that, the work is pleasant. If you work into the winter, the snow removal season is a bit of a grind. 

The company exploits its employees at every opportunity.
They purposely did not give me guaranteed hours last winter season after 4 straight years working and fired me illegally.

Stay far away and/or run!!!

The company has a very supportive staff. The facilities and work resources are well maintained and up to date. Healthy working environment and friendly colleagues.
