Interviewed for a PM role and hired on as a Supervisor. Work varied across multiple sites and the variety was a plus. That stated you will drive the wheels off of your car with some of the milage outside of your normal area being paid for but the rules governing compensation change conveniently for the company at any time. 
If there is an active project you will be working, if not you will sit at home by the phone awaiting a call and the response time is limited. For the waiting by the phone there is no compensation.
SQ runs a lean operation in that there are very few are actual employees and most of the inspection teams are temporary workers some of whom are both new to the country and language. 
Safety at the sites varied by location and assigned Supervisor/Manager however I will state that the Safety coordinator   was a good trainer and was responsive if asked for assistance. 
In a nut shell this is a temporary position at best and those who do the job are not well compensated but do carry a great deal of responsibility. Those thinking a PM position is" it" should know that it is a 24/7 position with very few benefits or perks and pay scale only means they get paid when things are slow unlike supervisors or team leads. Lots of great hard working folks, most all of whom are looking for other jobs full time. 


Company idea, process and structure is pretty clever.
However your experience is greatly depend of your project manager and location your assigned to, including temp worker agency.  All those together could make your daily life great or completely opposite...
Another minus to consider- they don't guarantee minimum hours per week. What is the point to have a job just 15 hours per week sometimes? Can you pay your bills that way?
On top of that they will look to make sure you not get more than 40 hours per week or they going to loose some money.
Part of the agreement, you can't apply to company where you being working with Stratosphere Quality. You must resign and wait 3 month otherwise you are in breach of contract.

What is the best part of working at the company?
Perhaps I should have gained experience since you always learn and the legal benefits I received, otherwise the work experience as an employee was terrible.

What is the most stressful part about working at the company?
Note that the managers never did anything to stop workplace harassment even though it was reported.

What is the work environment and culture like at the company?
Terrible, a very large exploitation of employees.

What is a typical day like for you at the company?
When I was working, the days were very stressful because I always reported what was happening and no one ever did anything to stop the situation. The managers always hid everything, as did the human resources manager, who exploited defenseless people who were unaware of their rights.

I worked there for 2 weeks and got let go for no reason on top of that they dont train you they screw you over big time with pay yu get payed 35 cents more than agency workers and do the jobs that noone wants to do they promise you will be a quality inspector and you do non of that at all you go in not knowing nothing about saftey or what you will really do they just hire you and hope you dont quit and lie to you and sell you a dream. People around yu get paid more than you do and you do the same jobs on top of that they are not organized and hate when people stand up for themselves and if you do they fire you !!! WORST COMPANY TO WORK FOR EVER I DONT SUGGEST ANYONE TO APPLY BECAUSW YOU WILL HÂTE IT!!!

Work started at 3 p.m. The job included the visual inspection of auto parts and measuring them. The quality of each part was studied and had to be matched to a blueprint.The work happened in a team environment and I had learned to co-operate better with other individuals and enjoyed working with them. The management was also good, the supervisor was co-operative and helpful when asked questions. The hardest part of the job was when you had a specific shipping time and would have to stay overtime in order to complete the job.

When you receive a phone call to start a new project your first challenge is to assess the problem and figure out how many Inspectors you will need to complete the project in a timely fashion.  Secondly you would need to write work instructions that everyone will be able to comprehend.  Follow up with the paying customer needs to be done on an ongoing basis.  Computer skill is a must.  The hardest part of the job is finding the right people to do the work.  The most enjoyable part of the job is the satisfaction you get once a project is completed.

I would say, for the first days of living in a new country this place seems nice. they offer you a full-time job but the payment is toooooo low. If you are only in the market to just be recruited somewhere, I recommend this place. otherwise, learning opportunities and advancement, especially financially is like an illusion. Nice co-workers. Nice management/ supervisors in most cases. it worth working for only a few months...meanwhile it is better for you to search for more specialized fields and pertinent opportunities.

I have worked for this company for over a year and have now been unofficially laid off due to their poor system management and the fact that they constantly contradict each other

I had to move twice for this job in a feeble attempt at job security and am now wishing that I didn't waste my time in doing so. They promised 12 hours in Windsor, I only got 8 hour shifts on four day weeks. 

Their training system is a complete joke. 

I would not recrommend this company to anyone. There are other companies out there which won't throw you under the bus the moment you show any sign of weakness.

I DROVE A 1 HR ONE WAY MOST DAYS. I WAS IN CHARGE ON SUPERVISING ASSOCIATES FROM ANOTHER TEMP AGENCY TO TO ENSURE QUALITY INSPECTIONS WERE DONE AND COMPLETE 200%. THE PPL THERE WERE ALL PRETTY NICE BUT FOUND MANAGEMENT HARD TO DEAL WITH AT TIMES. THERE WASNT REALLY ANYTHING HARD ABOUT THIS JOB. HAD TO MAKE SURE ASSOCIATES HRS WERE LOGGED AND DOCUMENT AND THAT ALL PAPER WORK WAS DONE PROPER AND SUBMITTED ON TIME. THE MOST ENJOYABLE PART OF MY JOB WAS I GOT TO TRAIN AND TEACH OTHERS AND HELP WHEN NEEDED.
