This place is suitable as beginners job for people in school or freshly out of school and just entering into the work force.

This company has an extremely high turnover and lacks proper management, stemming from the owner down.

There is no HR department for a staff force of around 90 at this location and work culture is non existent. With there not being a proper HR department employee benefits and compensation changes often are overseen or not updated/ inputted properly.

Overall I have learned a lot about vehicles and servicing needs, as well as how to multitask and work well under pressure and during extremely busy times.

The most enjoyable part of this job is having great relationships with some of my coworkers. With that also being said, there is many unprofessional and negative people who work here that make the work environment very draining and toxic. 

Overall I am happy to have a stable job during these slow economic times, but that is about the only positive feedback I have about this company.

This place is a toxic environment. If your looking a a job that pays a bill or two this is for you. If your looking for job security, this job is NOT for you. I repeat not for you. If your looking to be underpayed mistreated and overworked! This Place is for you. They're is no compensation for overtime. Yet they expect 150% from you. Disorganized and Chaotic. The lack of  support and  respect is unmatched from management. Unless you are a manager, you are a nobody. All they are concerned  about is how much money they can save from the budget. They promise all sorts of things that will turn out to be nothing but lies. Would never ever be a customer there. I would never recommend anyone ever take their vehicle for any sort of service or repair. Magement will lie and tell staff to lie to customers.

Very highly toxic environment.  expected to work through lunch breaks when meetings happen, and on Saturdays no lunch break is allowed to be taken due to over booking of appts and lack of staff on Saturdays. They think providing lunch on Saturday's makes up for eating at your desk while working with no rest. 

Service dept works for minimum wage ( or less than) even though this place is run off their feet busy, as are you! No opportunity for advancement, or raises. No employee reviews or praise , no team building events. Harrassment runs rampant in this business lots of unprofessional staff and management.  owner comes in and yells at staff in the boardroom. Management threatens you to work harder and faster and better with pay cuts and write ups instead of properly reviewing the staff and encouraging them with a helping hand. Staff turnover rate is unimaginable.

Everyone is afraid of the big bad owner. They all keep a tie in their desk in case he shows up but never wear it otherwise. They lose their minds when he calls in. The service manager micro manages the shop instead of letting his staff handle it. They manipulate the email addresses of their customers so they can only get perfect scores on the surveys. Shop is so overbooked there is no chance to upsell. If you try you get in trouble for selling, which is your job. The phones are constantly being paged instead of transfered and that gets really annoying for customers and employees. The appointment Coordinators argue with everyone. Customers have been waiting for months to get in or once in to get finished.

Working in the automotive field is my passion, understanding what the expectations are is crucial to any job. This place has great people (piers) to work with but the Management needs a change. Not sure how many people have has the experience of having a Owner represent himself by yelling and being disrespectful to the people that make him successful. It is a experience i wish to never observe or partake in again. No one should treat people the way they do ( its funny, the ads that go up for the Fixed Ops position is guaranteed to be up 1 time every year or 18  months, it is a trend.

But other than that, there is nothing else to gain from this place. They do not pay you overtime, even though they ask you to stay for 2 hours just to do something that they could clearly do themselves. This place is inefficient and does not train people properly. The product of Subaru itself is what keeps this dealership from sinking, but the quality of everything else has gone down to the gutter. Management is shady at best, they always pay the companies/businesses that do their work months late from the supposed date. And for these reasons, I do not see myself being a customer here.

If you enjoy getting paid 2, 3, 4 days late every month, having the money you pay into their social fund donated without any discussion to ”some organizations” to get the company free publicity without being supplied a tax receipt, fighting a year or 2 to get your finally pay when you get sick of their behaviour, feel free to work here. I had to go to employment standards, get a court judgement and then go to collections to get paid. I was warned by my previous employer I would regret working for them, and boy were they right.

I can't believe how many people feel the need to bash places after they leave. Subaru Calgary is a great place to work. The staff are amazing, the product is fantastic and the customers are even better.  I've been with Subaru Calgary for a while now and love it.  If you're looking for a place to work simply to punch a clock and don't care about customer service, this isn't the place for you.  If you believe in customer service and work for a place that never wants to settle for anything less than the best, than Subaru Calgary is the place for you.

Upper management make promises they don't keep. Technicians are supposed to get a tool bonus once a year. This bonus is based on our percentage of TRUvideos which it wasn't last year. Even after reaching the required percentage of uploads they refuse to give us the bonus. After talking with upper management we just get yelled at and threatened with reduced work. On flat rate this is an issue. The lack of respect in this company is outrageous! The only good thing about this work place is the regular level employees are absolutely the nicest people!

The upper management is a joke. If your quality of life is not important to you then this is the place for you. If you like to be yelled at every week and job threatening this is the place you want to be.This company should be held responsible for its actions, instead its do as we say and not as we do, then they hide behind the people they direct.
Look at the rating less than 2 stars, that should tell you everything.
To bad there is not a way to rate 0 stars.
