Was a good place to be. Past few years have been not great. Very toxic place to be with all the yelling and inter department fighting. Parts and Service VP has an extremely short fuse and is unapproachable. His entire family works in the service department creating a lot of drama and no respect from the mechanics. His own family is extremely cautious about what he is in the know on.
Starting to lose long term employees, and there will be more leaving in the year(s) to come. Upper management is either blind to, or chooses not to see the issues.
It’s unfortunate because this could be a great place to work if they listened to, and treated their employees better.

I’ve been with the company 3 years. It hasn’t been without its hiccups but overall I think it’s a great place to work. I intend to be a long term employee. They offer a great family environment.  They understand you have a life outside of work and do their best to support family life and parenting. 

I highly recommend applying to join the Summit team. 

Don’t let a few bitter reviews cause you to dismiss a great opportunity.

No chance of moving foward in the company. Management does not care about you and makes it clear that you are worthless. The entire atmosphere seems depressed people, on the floor are just waiting to retire or die. HR complaints are common not that it changes anything. Be prepared to be called endlessly on your freetime to be yelled at, after all nothing like making you feel worthless at all times. You will also be put on a rotation for Saturdays, so be prepared to give up 6 days a week for a job that does not care. Night shift workers will not be exempt as they dont care about a solid sleep schedule. Do yourself a favor and move on.

Management seems to prefer having a cycle of short term temps in admin support roles rather than investing in a long-term role for someone. Is it because they don't want to pay benefits? Or because they undercompensate for the role and don't want to have to negotiate for appropriate wage? Enjoyed working here but disappointed with the management talking a big game about "creating a permanent role with you" and then... nada. No real feedback on why it didn't/couldn't happen. 

Company is fast paced and very busy; management is willing to teach you what you need to know regularly.  Opportunities for mentorship program.
Culture is family oriented, not treated like a number; employees get along and new employees merge in together very quickly.
There are many long term employees, growth and opportunities are there for those who work hard and want them.  


Great place to work, very busy, you are expected to work hard, but they recognize that hard work with regular staff BBQ's, lunches and a variety of other functions.

They are committed to keeping their staff even through slow times and I did not see any lay off's while working there.

Throughout my time here, I have felt valued as an employee and have received consistent support from both my colleagues and management.

Really like the people here. They don't micro-manage you too much but when you need a hand with something everyone is helpful. Could be better with communicating, sometimes rely on word of mouth too much rather than having detailed work orders. OT is always available but not required.

I spent 5 years with Summit, from top to bottom the team was supportive, upbeat and friendly. They provide excellent training to all levels of staff. they are collaborative and definitely consultative. they are not top down, they listen to and value the opinion of their staff. the empower them to make decisions and support those decisions. Highly recommend.
