Sundial Lakeview Retirement Residence

I've only had the best experience working at Sundial . The executive director and owner are so personable and always willing to help their staff and show their appreciation. It's amazing to think of the team work and family-like relationship staff have with one another.  when we were in outbreak, all management and staff stepped up and worked long hours to make sure residents were fed well, were safe, and entertained ! The owner was doing dishes and the executive director was serving food ! The servers were delivering food door to door and working their tails off! The activity staff were personalizing 1:1 programs! The wellness team was diligent ! The housekeeping team was outstanding ! The reception team was extremely busy ! The maintenance team was on fire ! The marketing team had the phone ringing non stop! The team work is beautiful. 

Each department has strong leadership and the managers only wish the best for their staff. The employees are willing to give their all for their careers and the residents. I've only felt heard . I was always offered extra training and education and income as I complete training / hours. 

Sundial is only a few years old- lots of good things have happened- and it can only get better with more time and experience . Give it a chance . It's too fun! 

As a current employee at the Sundial (as both a PSW and a Nurse) I have found this to be the best place I have ever worked. The pay is fair, the residents are often kind, the staff are friendly and helpful and the management are incredibly kind and supportive in all aspects. If I've ever had a concern I've been able to go to any of my managers for help, and had the issue resolved in a timely, helpful manner. There are plenty of opportunities for growth at the Sundial, just name your game and they'll do what they can to get you there. The workload is manageable, and when it isn't every staff member, and management team member works to help you make it manageable. The hardest part of the job is often interacting with outside physicians, hospital staff and family members when advocating for your residents. It's impossible to pick the best thing about the Sundial. Everyone is friendly, everyone is kind, everyone is helpful, the hours are flexible, the pay is fair, truly the best place I have ever worked. I intend to stay here for as long as they'll have me, I've fallen in love with the residents, the staff and even the management. 

Started as intern in Life Enrichment: Recreation in May 2021, have a background in Physiotherapy assistant as well. Got hired upon completion of internship. With COVID there were many obstacles but the team pulled together and continued to offer many different programs and supports for the residents. All the residents are lovely and appreciative, so fun to work with them. 

Offers a variety of programming and exercise classes for residents, resident focused, interactive with residents and a joy to work with. Collaborative workplace, staff are dedicated and departments work cohesively to enhance residents daily lives holistically. 

I worked here 2 yrs it was fun and I was happy , however this year was difficult. they don't have much respect or understanding with mental health matters, there is a lot of drama and favoritism for certain employees. always short staffed and severely underpaid the residents are best part of the job. but management needs serious work around hr issues and mental health.

As a current employee at Sundial Lakeview retirement, I fully enjoy my job. The residents and staff make it a great place to work. It can be stressful but we all come together to help each other out. Management is very approachable and fair. I would recommend Sundial Lakeview retirement for anyone looking to work with a great bunch of residents and lovely friendly staff 

In a world where the COVID rules are always changing, Sundial does an amazing job at communicating with their staff. The Executive director and the owner are always giving staff gifts and appreciation. Recently We had an icecream truck and many prizes and raffles. It’s nice to be appreciated. 

This place is garbage. Management treats staff terribly with no respect. Hourly rate does not make up for the amount you work, and the managers are never there to help you in need. They pick and choose who they like and treat the rest like they don’t even exist. I strongly do not recommend working here, you will regret it.

like any job stressful at time and fine most of the time

Good place to work, very fun and great coworkers, I've met some great people that I couldn't imagine my life without. Some days it can be stressful but there's always someone that's got your back. Management is approachable and will listen. Pay isn't the greatest though.
