Management is reactionary and will bird-dog you through cameras on the shop floor. Make a small mistake and expect a knee-jerk firing especially if you are fitting.
The pay is below average and to apprentice here would be a hinderance to your skill set. Another nisku sweat shop.

A typical day would involve arriving 15 minutes early to be ready to work at 7 am sharp. Fulfilling any specific appointed tasks first and foremost. Maintaining  inquisition as an apprentice to learn what can be done unless otherwise pre-occupied i.e. Rigging, Q-decking, welding, grinding, torch cutting.

work was always available, foremans made sure there was always enough work for every individual person before they arrived for each of the three shifts. this made production a lot easier and felt like a more organized workplace

I have found that Supermetal has always had great supervision that are approachable when there are concerns and that they company has a good safety record

If  you can't speak fringlish your an outcast. Inspections done by unqualified people. Management doesn't have a the qualification to supervise a structural steel shop!

Do not work for them period worst company ever unless you are french ! Very disorganized and ready to fire you within 20 minutes. People always throwing you inder the bus

learnt lots but looking to find better for health benefits and pay
